Background/aim: An injury sustained during sports activity can lead to the development of reinjury anxiety and hamper performance. Although tools exist to assess re-injury anxiety, a domain of interest in the field of sports medicine, research in the psychological impact of an orofacial injury is rudimentary. The present study envisaged to develop an instrument to assess the presence of reinjury anxiety following orofacial and dental injury in boxers aged between 10 and 16 years.

Introduction: The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic became a worldwide public health crisis. It leads to raised levels of burnout and anxiety among the people of the medical and dental fraternity, especially those involved in various duties related to COVID-19. The present research focused on evaluating the prevalence and predictors of burnout among medical officers and dental surgeons in Haryana's state dental health services.

Introduction: This is the first randomized non-inferiority clinical trial in the evidence literature to examine the effectiveness of topical 25% silver nitrate (SN) followed by 5% sodium fluoride (NaF) varnish is not much worse or acceptable to 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in preventing and arresting dental caries among Beta-Thalassemia Major (BTM) patients.

Method: 170 BTM participants aged 18 years and older with at least 1 or more active carious lesions were randomly allocated into 2 groups (1:1). 25% silver nitrate solution application followed by 5% NaF varnish was administered to Group I, and Group II received 38% SDF.

An effective method to summarise the outcomes of questionnaire-based studies in systematic reviews.

With an increased number of questionnaire-based knowledge, attitude, practice and other types of studies, there is a need to perform evidence-based research in such designs as well. The systematic reviews (SR) and meta-analyses (MA) of the questionnaire-based studies are difficult to conduct and summarise due to the wide variations in the questions included in each of them. The presentation of these reviews often leads to ambiguous conclusions, and meta-analysis is not possible due to wide heterogeneity.
