Traditional nanomaterial development faces inefficiency and unstable results due to labor-intensive trial-and-error methods. To overcome these challenges, we developed a data-driven automated platform integrating artificial intelligence (AI) decision modules with automated experiments. Specifically, the platform employs a Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) model to retrieve methods/parameters and implements an A* algorithm centered closed-loop optimization process.

Adult mammals are unable to regenerate bulky bone tissues, making large bone defects clinically challenging. Deer antler represents an exception to this rule, exhibiting the fastest bony growth in mammals, offering a unique opportunity to explore novel strategies for rapid bone regeneration. Here, a bone graft exploiting the biochemical, biophysical, and structural characteristics of antlers is constructed.

Article Synopsis
  • 2-Decenoic acid is an important fatty acid used in pharmaceuticals and is now being produced more efficiently, but its production is hindered by oxidative stress from high concentrations of fatty acids.
  • Researchers improved production by redesigning the electron transport chain and reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels through genetic modifications and inhibitors like rotenone.
  • The modified strain led to a 93.33% increase in -2-decenoic acid yield, achieving the highest reported yield of 1.45 g/L, demonstrating a successful approach to enhance fatty acid biosynthesis.
