Antiaging vaccines have recently been found to elicit long-term benefits in slowing the aging process. Meanwhile, high CD38 expression in organs is an aging characteristic contributing to a decreased NAD/NADH ratio. Thus, in the current study, we systematically investigate the effects of a CD38-targeting peptide vaccine (CD38-vaccine) on aging-associated phenotypes in mice.

Memory B cell (MBC) development from germinal centers (GCs) entails profound changes in cell cycling, localization, and survival. Here, we examined the mechanisms that induce the memory program, focusing on interleukin (IL)-9, given its importance for normal recall antibody responses. Using adoptive transfer and radiation chimera models, we found that T cell-derived IL-9 was required for MBC development and function.

Microglia, as resident immune cells in the central nervous system (CNS), play a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis and phagocytosing metabolic waste in the brain. Senescent microglia exhibit decreased phagocytic capacity and increased neuroinflammation through senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). This process contributes to the development of various neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease (AD).
