A long-term high-fat diet (HFD) intake causes obesity, disrupting the gut microbiota and body metabolite balance, and increasing the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Fermented hempseed may restore microbiota balance, improve metabolism, and reduce neuroinflammation, potentially protecting against cognitive decline. This study investigates the protective effects and mechanisms of action of KCTC 15831BP-fermented hempseed (FHS) against AD-like symptoms induced by obesity in high-fat diet-fed mice.

This comprehensive review explores the relationship between prenatal exposure to particulate matter (PM) air pollution and the development of various neuropsychiatric disorders in offspring. Air pollution, specifically by PM, is a global health concern, with PM and PM being the most detrimental to health. This review delves into the impact of prenatal PM exposure on neurodevelopment and the onset of disorders such as cognitive impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia.

This study aims to predict driving states in healthy adult drivers using electroencephalogram (EEG) and machine learning (ML) models; and interpret the neural activity associated with each driving condition.
Methods: EEG data were collected from participants using a Cognionics Quick-20 EEG headset in Resting state, City-way, Highway, and Suburb-way driving states in 360 full-screen real car cabin inside the driving simulator.
Pediatric hypertension (HTN) is a significant, growing health concern worldwide and also in Korea. Diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of HTN in Korean children and adolescents are uncertain due to limitations in using the current international guidelines, since the recommendations by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and European Society of Hypertension (ESH) guidelines differ. Furthermore, these are guidelines for Western youth, who are racially and ethnically different from Koreans.

This surgery is indicated for mild to moderate medial compartment osteoarthritis with varus deformity in cases unresponsive to conservative treatment. Procedures for accompanying cartilage lesions, such as multiple drilling on the medial femoral condyle (MFC), are often performed simultaneously, potentially affecting bone metabolism along with load redistribution and union progression.

This study explored the effects of Limosilactobacillus reuteri fermented brown rice (FBR) on anxiety using an ICR mouse chronic mild stress (CMS) model. Anxiety was assessed through body weight, corticosterone levels, neurotransmitter profiles, and behavioral tests.
