Dual-sensitive gelatin-coated chitosan microparticles for targeted semaglutide pulmonary delivery: a novel approach to enhancing anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects.

This study introduces a novel dual-sensitive drug delivery system, gelatin-coated chitosan microparticles (GL-ChMPs), designed to enhance the lung targeting and therapeutic efficacy of semaglutide (SEM). GL-ChMPs were designed to respond to the acidic environment and metalloproteinases, conditions that are typical in pulmonary fibrosis. SEM-GL-ChMPs exhibited superior lung targeting and prolonged retention while minimizing systemic distribution.

Objective: To understand the frequency and trends in reported outcomes of safety and effectiveness for recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) therapy for growth hormone deficiency (GHD) in childhood.

Methods: A systematic review was performed in seven English and Chinese language databases. Eligibility criteria included all studies published between 2003 and 2022, with participants who started rhGH before the age of 16 years for GHD.

The aim of the current study is to identify the possible protective effect of rupatadine (RUP) on ovarian ischemia reperfusion (OIR) in rats. RUP was administered in the presence and absence of OIR. Thirty-two adult Wistar albino female rats were randomly arranged into four groups: Sham, RUP (6 mg/kg/day) for 14 days, OIR and OIR + RUP groups.
