Disparities in pediatric stroke-related mortality in the United States: Insights from the CDC WONDER database.

Objective: Stroke is a rare but significant cause of mortality among the pediatric age group. Despite advances in treatment, disparities in stroke-related mortality persist. We aim to analyze stroke-related mortality among pediatric age groups in the US for over two decades.

Addressing inequities in neurological mortality: trends and disparities in anoxic brain injury deaths, 1999-2023.

Purpose: Despite the slowly declining prevalence of anoxic brain injury (ABI) due to newer drugs and guidelines, there still exists inequity in timely receipt of treatment. This study aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of ABI mortality trends and sociodemographic disparities in the United States from 1999 to 2023.

Methods: Mortality data were obtained from the CDC-WONDER Database.

Assessing knowledge of dental house officers regarding dosage calculation and complications of local anaesthesia, in three tertiary care dental hospitals of DUHS, Karachi.

Objectives: To assess the knowledge and awareness of dental house officers regarding calculation of local anaesthesia dosage, and to evaluate differences in practices at various tertiary care facilities.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at three dental hospitals affiliated with Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi from July to December 2022, and comprised house officers of either gender currently enrolled at the participating centres. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire to assess knowledge and awareness of local anaesthesia dosage calculation, administration methods, and common complications.
