Importance: Multisystem inflammatory syndrome-adults (MIS-A) occur in the postacute coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) period with a diverse clinical presentation. A high index of suspicion, early recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of MIS-A might alleviate COVID-19-related morbidity and mortality.
Objective: To report seven cases of MIS-A with evidence of recent COVID-19 infection.

MAD2 is a spindle assembly checkpoint protein that participates in the formation of mitotic checkpoint complex, which blocks mitotic progression. RNF8, an established DNA damage response protein, has been implicated in mitotic checkpoint regulation but its exact role remains poorly understood. Objective: To assess the safety and efficacy of postpartum IUCD in caesarean section patients.
Methods: This prospective observational study included 200 women, who gave informed consent for postpartum intrauterine contraceptive device (PPIUCD) insertion during caesarean section from January 2013 to May 2014. These patients were followed up at 6 weeks and 6 months.

We examined the anticancer effects of limonin and imperatorin on various human cancer cells by MTT assay, and the results showed that imperatorin inhibited the cell growth of SNU 449 (liver cancer) and HCT-15 (colon cancer) cells in a dose-dependent manner, while limonin had less effect. Exposure of different concentrations of limonin and imperatorin caused morphological changes in cancer cells, but not in normal dermal fibroblast cells. Limonin and imperatorin induced apoptotic cell death concurrent to cell cycle arrest in SNU 449 and HCT-15 cells.

The potent role of thymol, a natural compound, in modulation of macrophage activity was evaluated by determining all the sequential steps involved during phagocytosis. We found a significant increase in the proliferation of splenocytes in the presence of thymol and it proved to be a good mitogen. Uptake capacity of macrophages was enhanced due to increased membrane fluidity after treatment with thymol and it also increases lysosomal activity of macrophages.
