Background And Purpose: 3D rotational angiography (3DRA) is a crucial diagnostic tool for assessing neurovascular diseases. Despite its superior spatial resolution, challenges arise in visualizing minute vasculatures. This study investigates the impact of voxel size on the spatial resolution and noise of cerebral 3DRA.

Objective: Diagnostic cerebral angiography poses a risk of direct radiation exposure to the eye lens. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using a wedge filter to reduce lens exposure during examination.

Methods: A phantom study was initially conducted to evaluate the efficacy and determine the optimal depth of the wedge filter.

Background Application of multimodal large language models (LLMs) with both textual and visual capabilities has been steadily increasing, but their ability to interpret radiologic images is still doubted. Purpose To evaluate the accuracy of LLMs and compare it with that of human readers with varying levels of experience and to assess the factors affecting LLM accuracy in answering Image Challenge cases. Materials and Methods Radiologic images of cases from October 13, 2005, to April 18, 2024, were retrospectively reviewed.

Background And Purpose: The diagnostic performance of deep learning model that simultaneously detecting and quantifying nigrosome-1 abnormality by using susceptibility map-weighted imaging (SMwI) remains unexplored. This study aimed to develop and validate a deep learning-based automatic quantification for nigral hyperintensity and a classification algorithm for neurodegenerative parkinsonism.

Materials And Methods: We retrospectively collected 450 participants (210 with idiopathic Parkinson disease [IPD] and 240 individuals in the control group) for training data between November 2022 and May 2023, and 237 participants (168 with IPD, 58 with essential tremor, and 11 with drug-induced parkinsonism) for validation data between July 2021 and January 2022.

Objectives: To systematically review and meta-analyze the recurrent rate of iodinated contrast medium (ICM)-associated adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and the preventive effect of using alternative ICM lacking a common carbamoyl side chain.

Materials And Methods: A systematic literature search was conducted in the MEDLINE and EMBASE databases to identify studies that investigated the recurrence rate of ICM-associated ADRs or hypersensitivity reactions (HSRs). Studies that included patients who subsequently underwent contrast-enhanced computed tomography scans after their index reactions were included, while studies with overlapping cohorts were excluded.

We investigated the clinical and radiologic predictors of unruptured symptomatic intracranial artery dissection (IAD) outcomes. Unruptured symptomatic IAD patients who underwent vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging (VW-MRI) and time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography (TOF-MRA) within 1 month after symptom onset, followed for over 12 months were included. Baseline features predicting the clinical outcome of recurrent symptoms and radiologic outcomes of aneurysmal dilatation and occlusion were analyzed using logistic regression analysis.

Objectives: To compare microvascular flow imaging (MVFI) and power Doppler ultrasonography imaging (PDUS) for detecting intratumoral vascularity in recurrent thyroid cancer both before and after radiofrequency ablation (RFA).

Methods: This retrospective study included 80 patients (age, 57 ± 12 years; 54 women) with 110 recurrent tumors who underwent RFA between January 2021 and June 2023. A total of 151 PDUS and MVFI image sets were analyzed (85 pre-RFA, 66 post-RFA).

Background The diagnostic abilities of multimodal large language models (LLMs) using direct image inputs and the impact of the temperature parameter of LLMs remain unexplored. Purpose To investigate the ability of GPT-4V and Gemini Pro Vision in generating differential diagnoses at different temperatures compared with radiologists using Diagnosis Please cases. Materials and Methods This retrospective study included Diagnosis Please cases published from January 2008 to October 2023.

Objective: Differentiating intracranial aneurysms from normal variants using CT angiography (CTA) or MR angiography (MRA) poses significant challenges. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of proton-density MRA (PD-MRA) compared to high-resolution time-of-flight MRA (HR-MRA) in diagnosing aneurysms among patients with indeterminate findings on conventional CTA or MRA.

Materials And Methods: In this retrospective analysis, we included patients who underwent both PD-MRA and HR-MRA from August 2020 to July 2022 to assess lesions deemed indeterminate on prior conventional CTA or MRA examinations.

Importance: Ethanol ablation (EA) was shown to be safe and effective for treating ranula, but few studies have assessed long-term outcomes and recurrence of ranula after EA.

Objective: To evaluate the long-term outcomes and the risk factors for recurrence and receipt of subsequent surgery in patients who underwent treatment with EA for ranula.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This case-series study was conducted at a single tertiary hospital and assessed patients who were treated with EA between July 2009 and March 2021.

Purpose: This study investigated the clinical and ultrasonographic (US) findings of suture granulomas and recurrent tumors, and aimed to identify specific characteristics of suture granulomas through an experimental study.

Methods: This retrospective study included 20 pathologically confirmed suture granulomas and 40 recurrent tumors between January 2010 and December 2020. The clinical findings included suture material, surgery, and initial TNM stage.

Background: We aimed to investigate the radiation dose to the eye lens (lens dose) during cerebral angiography and to evaluate the effectiveness of the lens dose reduction protocol for 3-dimensional rotational angiography (3D-RA) in reducing overall lens dose exposure.

Methods: We conducted a randomized, controlled clinical trial at a tertiary hospital with patients undergoing cerebral angiography. The lens dose reduction protocol in 3D-RA involved raising the table to position the patient's eye lens away from the rotation axis.

Objective: Three-dimensional rotational angiography (3D-RA) is increasingly used for the evaluation of intracranial aneurysms (IAs); however, radiation exposure to the lens is a concern. We investigated the effect of head off-centering by adjusting table height on the lens dose during 3D-RA and its feasibility in patient examination.

Materials And Methods: The effect of head off-centering during 3D-RA on the lens radiation dose at various table heights was investigated using a RANDO head phantom (Alderson Research Labs).

Agenesis of the dorsal pancreas (ADP) is an extremely rare congenital anomaly. Human pancreas is formed by ventral and dorsal endodermal buds of the foregut endoderm. The dorsal bud forms the upper part of the head, neck, body, and tail of the pancreas and the ventral bud generates most of the head and uncinate process.
