Spinal cord injury (SCI), as a severe neurological disorder, remains a formidable challenge in clinical treatment. Pyroptosis-triggered neuroinflammation exacerbates secondary damage, neuronal death, and impairs recovery after SCI, making it a critical pathological factor. However, the exact pathophysiological mechanisms are incompletely understood.

The uptake and accumulation of Cd from soil impedes taproot enlargement, thereby reducing yield, quality and safety of radish taproot. However, the molecular mechanisms and regulatory networks underlying Cd accumulation in radish remain unclear.

Middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) modeling increased the expression of nuclear factor of activated T cells 5 (NFAT5) in microglia. However, the role of microglial NFAT5 in ischemic stroke remains unclear.

Growth factor receptor-binding protein 10 (Grb10) has been proved to participate in the regulation of cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. The purpose of this study was to explore the role of Grb10 in high glucose-induced H9c2 cardiomyoblast apoptosis and investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms.

Given their complexity, the structural annotation of CNPs remains a major bottleneck. Here, we introduce the modular fragmentation-based structural assembly (MFSA) strategy for the target CNP structural annotation.

Here, we develop FRET-lifetime imaging for mRNA-LNP tracking (FLINT), an intramolecular FRET-FLIM platform to dynamically monitor mRNA release kinetics and endosomal damage in live cells. Capitalizing on the 50- to 100-fold higher concentration of glutathione (GSH) in the cytosol relative to endocytic vesicles, the FLINT employs disulfide-linked fluorophores conjugated to mRNA uridines, enabling precise tracking of cytosolic mRNA via GSH-activated signal amplification (20-50×).

During the elongation phase, cotton fibers accumulate significant amounts of linolenic acid, which is an essential component of cell membranes and a key precursor for jasmonic acid (JA) biosynthesis. Although JA is known to play a critical role in fiber development, the regulatory mechanisms governing the conversion of linolenic acid to JA remain largely unknown.

Our umbrella review of observational studies aims to separately elucidate these associations with BD and MDD.

Direct photoreforming of waste poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) plastic into high-value-added chemicals is a promising method that improves resource utilization. However, the traditional method for PET depolymerization was mostly harsh alkali pretreatment (C = 5-10 M), which largely impeded direct reforming due to the diversity of the conditions and thus caused inefficiency and discontinuity for plastic upgrading. Binuclear metallohydrolases have been proven to cause maximal acceleration of hydrolytic processes via the proximity effect under mild conditions but are unable to realize further reforming reaction due to monofunctionality.

: Chronic postsurgical pain (CPSP) poses a major clinical challenge due to unresolved links between neurotrophic pathways and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. While Neurotrophic Tyrosine Kinase Receptor Type 1 (NTRK1) modulates ER stress in neuropathic pain, its interaction with Insulin-Like Growth Factor II (IGF2) in CPSP remains uncharacterized, impeding targeted therapy. This study defined the spinal NTRK1-IGF2-ER stress axis in CPSP.

To establish correlation between Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) and EuroQol 5-Dimension questionnaire (EQ-5D) utility score in Chinese moderate-to severe psoriasis patients and develop mapping models for health utility prediction. A total of 287 patients with moderate to severe psoriasis and at least one clinical visit with assessments for both DLQI and EQ-5D in a Chinese tertiary hospital were included. These patients were randomly split into a training set (n = 231) and a testing set (n = 56).

However, the great challenge for SF-free technology remains because of numerous contradictory requirements it has to meet simultaneously: high dielectric strength, low boiling points, low global warming potential, high arc quenching capability, low acute/subchronic inhalation toxicity, and low flammability. Herein, the chemical bonds are revealed to be the universal, unique, and unified descriptors to develop the predictive models for efficient virtual screening of novel gaseous dielectrics.

Background: Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) is a malignancy with a high mortality rate and a wide age range. However, there are relatively few studies on the relationship between age and all-cause mortality in patients with MTC. As one of the important factors influencing cancer prognosis, the association between age and all-cause mortality in MTC patients needs to be further investigated.

Purpose: We examined the within-person association of daily stressors and pain, and whether spousal collaboration played a differential role in moderating this association in older couples living with and without MCCs.
Methods: Data were drawn from an ecological momentary assessment (EMA) research, wherein two sub-samples of older married couples (including 52 dyads facing couple-level MCCs and 55 dyads without couple-level MCCs) reported 7671 (89.

The assembly of metal clusters with organic building units by covalent bonds to form metal cluster-based covalent-organic frameworks (MCCOFs) material is a novel strategy in reticular synthesis. However, only 2, 3, and 6 connectivity of MCCOFs have been achieved in reported structures. Developing a higher connectivity remains a great challenge in the MCCOFs due to the difficulties in introducing multiple connecting nodes to the metal cluster.

Background: Few studies have focused on the descriptive epidemiology and trends of HIV/AIDS since the publication of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study in 2021. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the trends and patterns of the HIV/AIDS burden at the global, regional, and national levels by sex, age and social development index (SDI).
