The complication of diabetes, which is known as diabetic foot ulcer (DFU), is a significant concern due to its association with high rates of disability and mortality. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey, namely, the China Multicentre Dementia Survey (CMDS) in selected rural and urban areas from 2018 to 2020. We performed face-to-face interviews and neuropsychological and clinical assessments to reach a consensus on dementia diagnosis.

The viability of A549 cells following treatment with different doses of AB23A was examined using a Cell Counting Kit‑8 assay. Subsequently, apoptosis and the cell cycle were detected using flow cytometric analysis.

Islet cell apoptosis plays an important role in type 2 diabetes. We previously reported that Par-4-mediated islet cell apoptosis is induced by high-glucose/fatty acid levels. In the present study, we show that Par-4, which is induced by high-glucose/fatty acid levels, interacts with and inhibits TERT in the cytoplasm and then translocates to the nucleus.
