This study has investigated the biosurfactant and bioemulsifier potential of the fungal malt broth 9A5M, obtained from the marine fungus Cunninghamella echinulata-9A5. The E24 emulsification index of 9A5M were evaluated by using vegetable oils, burnt motor engine oil and residues from leather treatment. The chemical profile 9A5M was delineated by GC-MS, and its stability was determined by zeta potential and hydrodynamic diameter (D), obtained by Dynamic Light Scattering analysis.

Live attenuated vaccines (LAVs) administered via the mucosal route may offer better control of the COVID-19 pandemic than non-replicating vaccines injected intramuscularly. Conceptionally, LAVs have several advantages, including presentation of the entire antigenic repertoire of the virus, and the induction of strong mucosal immunity. Rhabdomyolysis is characterized by muscle damage and leads to acute kidney injury (AKI). Clinical and experimental studies suggest that glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β) inhibition protects against AKI basically through its critical role in tubular epithelial cell apoptosis, inflammation and fibrosis.
