Objective: Wound healing is a complex process involving haemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and remodelling. Dysregulation in any phase impairs healing. Hyaluronic acid (HA) and amino acids are essential in promoting tissue repair.

Background: Conjunctivitis is among the most frequent adverse events (AEs) emerged in clinical trials for all biologic drugs approved for atopic dermatitis (AD). However, real-world comparative data on the incidence, risk factors, and management of conjunctivitis remain limited.
Objective: We aimed to compare the incidence, clinical features, and management of conjunctivitis in patients with moderate-to-severe AD treated with dupilumab or tralokinumab in a real-life setting.
Arterial stiffness, a key cardiovascular risk marker, is typically assessed via carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (cf-PWV), the gold-standard method. In this study, we introduce CAPE (Continuous Automatic PWV Estimation), an innovative framework for near real-time cf-PWV estimation based on beat-to-beat analysis of laser-Doppler vibrometry (LDV) signals. CAPE integrates automatic fiducial point detection, systematic signal quality control, and a cross-channel strategy to provide a highly reliable assessment of cf-PWV.

Here, we describe the case of a 48-year-old female patient with prurigo nodularis, where B-mode and color-Doppler ultrasound of one nodule was performed; this revealed hypoechoic dermal and hyperechoic epidermal thickening with lesion hypervascularity. To the best of our knowledge, no previous published articles have reported ultra-high-frequency ultrasound images of this disease, so this case can encourage prurigo nodularis studies in order to better assess ultrasound features and their usefulness in supporting clinical diagnosis and in distinguishing prurigo nodularis from other diseases.

The primary objectives are to evaluate the severity of these conditions and their implications for job performance, productivity, and non-work-related daily activities. A cross-sectional analysis was conducted on employed patients with dermatological conditions between September 2021 and November 2023.

While clinical assessment remains the cornerstone of diagnosis and staging, ultrasound (US) has emerged as a valuable tool for disease evaluation, treatment guidance, and monitoring. The introduction of ultra-high frequency ultrasound (UHFUS) allowed for near in vivo histopathological examination of HS lesions.

Methods: A multicenter, retrospective study was conducted on 208 patients with severe AD who discontinued dupilumab for reasons unrelated to inefficacy.
Background: The management of psoriasis in patients with a history of cancer remains debated, especially for the limited literature available. Given the lack of large, well-designed studies focused on this patient group, real-world clinical experiences and expert insights serve as crucial resources for guiding informed treatment decisions. This issue particularly regards the newest anti-interleukin (IL) drugs available, such as those targeting IL-23.

Introduction: Real-world data comparing patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) initially treated with upadacitinib versus those previously treated with biologics or other JAK inhibitors are limited.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective multicenter study of 524 patients with moderate-to-severe AD treated with upadacitinib to assess clinical outcomes over 52 weeks. A sub-analysis of 316 patients compared outcomes between those who had previously failed Th2 biologics (group A) and those who discontinued these treatments for reasons other than inefficacy or were bio-naïve (group B), using a Propensity Score matching method.
Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is the most common autoimmune blistering skin disease worldwide. In the difficult-to-treat BP or if standard therapies are contraindicated, the use of biologics may be also considered although there is no strong evidence supporting their use. This study aimed to investigate clinical and diagnostic findings as well as treatment outcomes among patients diagnosed with BP and undergoing omalizumab or dupilumab in a real-world setting.

Objectives: This study analyzed data from Italy's 2023 "Save Your Skin" campaign, which provided free skin checks nationwide.
Methods: Data from 1,773 participants across 29 centers in 13 regions were collected to assess sun exposure, photoprotection habits, and skin cancer awareness, identifying gaps in prevention efforts.

Background: The aim of this study is to confront the effectiveness of anti-IL 17 versus anti-IL 23 mAb in treating palmoplantar psoriasis by comparing the incidence of patients that required a therapy switch to another mAb class. Furthermore, we calculated the mean time intercurrent the beginning therapy with mAbs and the necessity to switch class due to ineffectiveness.
Research Design And Methods: We enrolled 116 patients with moderate to severe palmoplantar psoriasis.
Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a neutrophilic dermatological disorder, marked by the dysregulation of both innate and adaptive immunity. Recently, non-invasive imaging techniques, including the use of Ultra-High Frequency Ultrasound (UHFUS), have been used to assess patients with PG. The primary objective of this study is to characterize the UHFUS differences among various cutaneous ulcerative diseases.

Thanks to very high spatial resolution, high-frequency and ultra-high-frequency ultrasound can evaluate smaller structures, allowing us to improve diagnosis accuracy and disease activity. Moreover, they can guide treatment, such as drug injection, and assess therapy efficacy and complications.

Introduction: Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease associated with a high disease burden and substantial impact on patients' quality of life. Limited therapeutic options are available, with an unmet medical need for earlier diagnosis and treatment and more effective treatment options. Low awareness of HS amongst healthcare professionals (HCPs) leads to delayed diagnosis and a prolonged patient journey to HS-specific treatment.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to assess whether patients with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) presented an attentional bias toward pictures of other women's bodies, as this bias could implicitly promote self-other comparisons thus increasing body/weight concerns.
Methods: The sample included 48 healthy controls (HC) and 54 patients with AN. All participants performed a dot-probe task with pictures of bodies or body parts of underweight (UWB), normal weight (NWB) and overweight (OWB) women, while their gaze was recorded with an eye-tracking system.

Our study aimed to investigate the correlation between skin cancer and anti-interleukin (IL) therapy in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis. This was an observational monocentric study in which we enrolled a total of 235 patients in which 127 patients were affected by moderate-to-severe psoriasis and treated with anti-IL monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for at least 6 months, whereas 108 patients affected by mild psoriasis were treated with topical therapies. Afterward, we performed a dermatologic visit to all the subjects, collecting anamnestic information including risk factors for skin cancer.

The International HS Severity Score System (IHS4) is widely used to assess HS severity by counting inflammatory nodules, abscesses, and draining fistulas/tunnels. However, traditional clinical examinations may underestimate HS severity due to the presence of subclinical lesions.

The specific experimental arrangement that includes a Faraday rotator enables laser oscillation on left-circular or right-circular polarization, by adjusting the cavity losses. We show the simultaneous oscillation of both polarizations never occurs, proving that the Lamb coupling constant is very close to 1 in this VCSEL device, a situation that is ideal for spintronic applications.
