Introduction And Aims: Calcified root canals in mandibular anterior teeth present significant therapeutic challenges due to their narrow anatomy and minimal tolerance for procedural errors. This case report demonstrates the successful integration of robot-assisted navigation with an ultra-fine bur to address these challenges.
Methods: A 44-year-old male presented with symptomatic chronic apical periodontitis and pulp calcification in a mandibular lateral incisor, 20 years after orthodontic treatment.
Objective: This study aimed to establish global benchmark outcomes indicators for robotic liver resections (R-LR).
Background: In recent years, minimally invasive liver resections and in particular R-LR has seen an increase in uptake in recent years. Although, benchmark outcomes have been recently established for laparoscopic (L) -LR, this has not been established for R-LR.
Importance: The optimal dose, safety, and efficacy of intra-arterial tenecteplase after successful reperfusion by endovascular thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion (LVO) is unknown.
Objective: To evaluate the dose-dependent adverse events and signals of efficacy of intra-arterial tenecteplase in LVO after successful reperfusion with thrombectomy, defined as an Extended Treatment in Cerebral Infarction score of 2b-3.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This open-label, blinded-outcome assessment trial, incorporating a 14 + 8 dose-escalation (phase 1b, nonrandomized) and dose-expansion (phase 2a, randomized) design, was conducted in China between 2023 and 2024, with follow-up continuing through November 2024.
This research concentrated on soybean paste fermented with Tetragenococcus halophilus, employing peptidomics and machine learning methodologies to screen for novel umami peptides. Taste characteristics of umami peptides were evaluated through sensory evaluation and electronic tongue analysis. The mechanism of taste presentation of the umami peptides was investigated through T1R1/T1R3 molecular docking techniques.

Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) have demonstrated greater proliferation and osteogenic differentiation potential in certain studies compared to other types of mesenchymal stem cells, making them a promising option for treating craniomaxillofacial bone defects. However, due to low extracting concentration and long amplifying cycles, their access is limited and utilization rates are low. To solve these issues, the principle of bone-forming peptide-1 (BFP1) chemotaxis was utilized for the osteogenic differentiation of hDPSCs to achieve simultaneous and synergistic osteogenesis at multiple sites.

Objective: To study the immunoadjuvant effects of chitosan oligosaccharide (COS), including the immune activation and the triggering of lysosomal escape, and to explore whether COS can be used as an adjuvant for attenuated live bacteria vector vaccines.
Methods: 1) Mouse macrophages RAW264.7 cells were cultured with COS at 0 mg/mL (the control group) and 0.
Background: The flexibility of the robotic system in resection and reconstruction provides potential benefits in pancreaticoduodenectomy. Increasingly, robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy (RPD) has been reported with favourable outcomes, but high-level evidence is still scarce. We aimed to compare the short-term postoperative outcomes of RPD with those of open pancreaticoduodenectomy (OPD), and hypothesised that postoperative length of hospital stay would be shorter after RPD than after OPD.

Background: With the rapid development of robotic surgery, especially for the abdominal surgery, robotic pancreatic surgery (RPS) has been applied increasingly around the world. However, evidence-based guidelines regarding its application, safety, and efficacy are still lacking. To harvest robust evidence and comprehensive clinical practice, this study aims to develop international guidelines on the use of RPS.

This study aimed to evaluate the short and long-term outcomes of robotic RAMPS and open RAMPS for PDAC.
Methods: The patients who underwent robotic RAMPS and open RAMPS for PDAC at our clinical centre between January 2017 and December 2021 were reviewed.
This study investigated the effects of ultrasound-assisted fermentation (UAF) on the preparation of antioxidant peptides (UAFP) from okara and examined their content, chemical structures, and antioxidant activity. After the optimal ultrasonic processing (time, 20 min; frequency, 45 KHz; power, 120 W/L), the peptide content yield reached the maximum of 12.36 ± 0.

However, their applications are limited by low conductivity and large volume expansion. Herein, sugar-gourd-shaped carbon nanofibers embedded with heterostructured ZnCo-Se nanocages are prepared via a facile template-engaged method combined with electrospinning and selenization process.

Background: Neuron-specific enolase (NSE), which is a highly specific marker for neurons, could be a predictor for prognosis in patients with symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) with acute ischemic stroke who are receiving endovascular treatment (EVT). This study aimed to investigate the relationship between NSE and sICH in patients with acute anterior circulation stroke undergoing EVT.
Methods: A total of 215 consecutive patients with acute stroke treated with EVT were included.
To comprehensively evaluate the effect of acupuncture on gut microbiota, identify specific microbes closely related to the clinical efficacy of acupuncture, and explored the role of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). A randomized placebo-controlled trial was conducted with 80 FC patients and 28 healthy controls (HCs). FC patients randomly received 16 acupuncture ( = 40) or sham acupuncture ( = 40) sessions over 4 weeks; HCs received no treatment.

Methods: This is a retrospective review of 4,348 laparoscopic major hepatectomies at 58 centers between 2005 and 2021, of which 3,383 met the study inclusion criteria.
