The objective of the present study was to develop a robust, simple, economical and sensitive HPLC-UV method using the "quality-by-design" approach for the estimation of irinotecan (IRI) in marketed formulations. RP-HPLC method was developed by applying Box-Behnken design with Hyper-Clone (Phenomenex®) C18 column (250 × 4.6 mm id, particle size 5 µm, ODS 130 Å) as a stationary phase.

Introduction: Aim of study is to investigate the effect of hip prosthesis on 6 and 15 MV photon beam energies.
Materials And Methods: Prosthesis was kept at the level of tray position. The measurements were done on Varian Clinac-iX linac.
•CNS relapse in multiple myeloma after ASCT without medullary relapse is uncommon.•Isolated CNS relapse is extremely rare with only 7 cases reported in literature.•Prognosis is poor with very short median survival after detection of CNS relapse.

Introduction: CD123 is overexpressed in many hematologic malignancies and found to be useful in characterizing leukemic blasts of both acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). CD123 has been recently found to be a marker of leukemic stem cells, and its utility to measure residual disease and potential role in disease relapse is under evaluation.
Materials And Methods: Herein, we have evaluated the expression of CD123 in 757 samples of acute leukemia including 479 treatment-naive and 278 follow-up samples and compared with post-induction morphologic complete remission and measurable residual disease (MRD) status.
Aim: To investigate the impact of Acuros XB (AXB) algorithm in the deep-inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) technique used for treatment of left sided breast cancer.
Background: AXB may estimate better lung toxicities and treatment outcome in DIBH.
Materials And Methods: Treatment plans were computed using the field-in-field technique for a 6 MV beam in two respiratory phases - free breathing (FB) and DIBH.
Background: Hypertension comes under the category of chronic disease, which requires long term treatment. Hypertension is usually treated by oral administration of various therapeutic agents. There are several limitations of the oral route, making pharmaceutical scientists to discover an alternative route for drug delivery.

Castleman's disease (CD), also known as angiofollicular lymph node hyperplasia, a rare, non-malignant chronic lymphoproliferative disease characterized by, uni or multicentric lymphadenopathy. There is limited information about the clinicopathological variations and associations of this entity. A total of 50 cases of CD were retrieved from the archives, between the years 2005-2017.

Nepal, being a mountainous country, has significant soil erosion issues. To examine the effects of LUCC on water erosion, we studied the LUCC in Sarada, Rapti and Thuli Bheri river basins of Nepal during the 1995-2015 period using the Remote Sensing.

There is an urgent need for molecular marker involved in disease progression which remains suppressed normally, required for specificity. HLA-G is highly expressed in cancers and creates immune-suppressive microenvironment.

A strong association of insulin-signalling with Parkinson's disease (PD) has been proposed but the exact nature of molecular events and genetic associations are yet to be understood. We employed transgenic strain harboring human α-synuclein::YFP transgene, towards studying the aggregation pattern of α-synuclein, a PD-associated endpoint, under human insulin (Huminsulin®) treatment and DAF-16/DAF-2 knockdown conditions, independently and in combination.

Considering EPS concentration of 60 g/L in production fermenter at 96 h, the unit production cost for slime EPS was estimated to be $ 0.95/L.

Objective: Granulosa cell tumors (GCT) are low-grade malignant sex cord-stromal tumors (SCST) with late metastasis/recurrences and long disease-free periods. We performed a clinicopathological evaluation of GCT to ascertain features having prognostic impact.
Materials And Methods: All cases of GCT of ovary from January 2006 to December 2018 were assessed for architectural patterns, nuclear grooves, and Call-Exner bodies.
Introduction: Central venous catheters (CVCs) implanted in patients with malignancies may often be associated with local or central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI), which are a major source of morbidity and rarely mortality, making such patients' care difficult and complicated.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study is a single-centre's experience including both paediatric and adult patients with malignancy, who had a CVC inserted and were receiving care at cancer centre of our hospital over a period between January 2017 and June 2018.
Results: In the period from January 2017 to June 2018, 73 confirmed cases of CLABSIs among cancer patients were included in this study.
Background: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is an established treatment for a number of malignancies. Quality of life (QOL) is an important marker for assessing arduous treatment modalities. Diagnosis of cancer, HSCT, and the physical and psychosocial sequelae of the intensive treatment lead to a deficit in the QOL of the recipient.

The possible applications of the material as a Schottky barrier diode (SBD) in optoelectronic devices and as a catalyst in methanol steam reforming (MSR) reaction for hydrogen generation, hitherto unreported in the open literature, have also been explored. The compound is crystallized in the cubic body centered Im3[combining macron] space group and the particle size is found to be in nanodimension with rather narrow size distribution.

Abnormal expression patterns of regulatory small non-coding RNA (sncRNA) molecules such as microRNAs (miRs), piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs), and small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) play an important role in the development and progression of cancer. Identification of clinically relevant sncRNA signatures could, therefore, be of tremendous translational value. In the present study, genome-wide small RNA sequencing identified a unique pattern of differential regulation of eight miRs in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).

Research insight into the technical challenges of bioplastics production has revealed their confoundedness in their niche markets and struggles to enter the mainstream. There is an increasing problem of waste disposal and high cost of pure substrates in polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) production. This has led to the future need of upgrading the waste streams from different industries into the role of feedstocks for production of PHA.

Digital elevation models of three Ethiopian dams at lowland, midland and highland elevations were used to quantify water surface area and wetted shoreline at different reservoir water levels (70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100% full capacity) to estimate surface area of potential mosquito breeding habitat. Reservoir water level drawdown rates of 10, 15 and 20 mm.

This study compares the scientifically observed spatiotemporal climate variability with farmer perceptions. A survey of 381 farmers and ten focus group discussions (FGDs) were used to collect data from ten coastal subdistricts. We hypothesized that any gap between farmer perceptions and meteorological data could be due to variations in their individual characteristics.
