Objectives: The aim of this study was to create a rapid admixture of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) for chairside use in clinical settings to remediate the challenges associated with root canal treatment and pulp capping.
Methods: Synthesized AgNPs at ratios of 10 and 25% were added to commercially available MTA to create an admixture. The admixture was subjected to structural and morphological assessment using X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) analysis, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.
Objectives: This study aimed to assess the awareness and practices of oral and maxillofacial surgeons (OMFS) regarding the management of facial trauma in patients with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), focusing on alcohol withdrawal syndrome (AWS), perioperative abstinence and its psychological impact.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study was conducted among 499 OMFS practitioners across India. An investigator-designed, validated, 17-item questionnaire covered six domains: alcohol history, abstinence, AWS management protocols, stress/quality of life and therapeutic alcohol use.
Background: Tumour microenvironment is one of the evading research studies in the progression of cancers. Circulating neutrophil's contribution to tumor growth and metastatic progression has been a matter of research interest. The phenotypic subset of low-density neutrophils (LDNs) has been seen as closely associated with disease severity in various cancers.

Background: Telomerase is composed of a rate-limiting telomerase reverse transcriptase catalytic subunit and an RNA template component. Telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) is an essential unit of telomerase. The study aimed to immunohistochemically analyze the expression of hTERT in different grades of oral squamous cell carcinoma in relation to the clinicopathological findings.

Influence of cranberry on the mechanical properties of heat-activated polymethyl methacrylate (HA-PMMA) denture base resin (DBR) is unexplored till date and is significant for a better understanding of the reinforcement. This study aimed to evaluate the flexural strength (FS), impact strength (IS), and surface microhardness (VHN) of heat-cure PMMA DBR reinforced with varying concentrations of Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) extract.

Aim: Bioceramic sealers are being used as obturation materials as they are known for hard tissue induction and facilitating periapical healing. Based on some studies, one can hypothesize that mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and biodentine used as the sole obturating material could reinforce the tooth and provide a better sealability than an MTA/biodentine apical plug with gutta-percha obturation. However, there are not many high-quality studies regarding outcomes of complete MTA/biodentine obturations compared with traditional obturation methods.

Background And Objectives: Silver (Ag) and Copper (Cu) Nanoparticles (NP) are a potential substitute for disinfection during endodontic therapy because of their antibacterial action against an array of pathogens, including resistant strains. This study aimed to assess the antibiofilm efficiency of calcium hydroxide modified with Ag and Cu NP suspension against , using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and colony forming units (CFU) analysis.
Methods: Dentine blocks were inoculated with Enterococcus faecalis for one week and 1 week-old biofilm of were randomly divided into 4 groups, control, calcium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide +2 % Cu NP and calcium hydroxide +2 % Ag NP.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma shows increased occurrence in those who consume tobacco products, alcohol, betel quid, and areca nut, and is also considered to occur due to genetic alteration. Though there are numerous advancements in treatment, survival remains a question with late diagnosis. Hence, there are continuous inventions of new drugs.

Aim: To assess the coronal and apical microleakage of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Biodentine, and Bioceramic putty when used as coronal and apical seals in endodontically treated teeth.
Materials And Methods: The study was conducted on 90 mandibular premolar teeth. The groups were divided into two subgroups.
Objectives: The objective of the study was to determine the antimicrobial efficacy of Lavandula angustifolia (True Lavender extract) towards Candida albicans, Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus aureus pathogens. Varying proportions of the extract was incorporated into polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) denture base resin and the anti-adherent effect was investigated.
Methods: An in-vitro study was performed after pure extract was obtained from Lavandula angustifolia (LA) flowers using a solvent based hot extraction process.
Aim And Objective: To evaluate and compare the impact of nanocoatings made of oxides of Aluminum, Titanium, and Zirconium, on the frictional resistance on three types of superelastic orthodontics archwires namely; nickel titanium, copper nickel titanium and low hysteresis nickel titanium.
Materials And Methods: There are120 archwire segments of equal dimensions were divided into four groups ( = 30) with 10 samples each of low hysteresis superelastic archwires; NiTi archwires and CuNiTi archwires. While group A were uncoated, other groups were nanocoated with group B: Aluminum oxide; group C: Titanium dioxide; group D: Zirconium oxide respectively.

Background: Telocytes are interstitial cells widely distributed in the extracellular matrix of numerous tissues distinguished by their long, thin, and moniliform projections. Telocytes have a role in the stimulation of angiogenesis and contribute to the development and progression of fibrosis.
Aim: The current study aimed to assess and compare the telocyte distribution in normal mucosa, oral submucous fibrosis (OSF), and OSCC associated with OSF (OSCCOSF).
Mucormycosis is a rare, opportunistic fungal infection prevalent in the elderly, especially in patients with uncontrolled diabetes or a compromised immune system. However, the outbreak of the pandemic declared by the World Health Organization in late 2019 increased the incidence of mucormycosis cases in COVID-19 patients due to increased steroid usage that resulted in an immunocompromised state. The current report presents two cases of oral mucormycotic osteomyelitis in patients who developed diabetes post-COVID infection, along with a review and relevant literature.

Formerly believed to be a subtype of odontogenic keratocyst (OKC), orthokeratinized odontogenic cyst (OOC), a rare developing odontogenic cyst, is now believed to be distinct. The clinical, radiographic, histological data are included in this report, along with a review of the literature to aid in comprehending the cyst. A retrospective search in the oral pathology department between 2018 and 2022 was conducted to recover all cases reported as OOC in SRM Dental College, Ramapuram.

Unlabelled: Sex determination in forensic medicine is considered one of the first and foremost steps in personal identification. The need for identifying the exact sex of the individual arises when deciding whether a person can exercise certain civil rights reserved for one particular sex, for competing in sex-specific athletic and sports events, legitimacy, divorce, paternity disputes and also to some criminal offenses. Nuclear sexing by Barr body examination can be done using buccal smears to establish the sex of the individual when routine methods fail to disclose the exact gender of the individual.

Clear cell type, Langerhans cell/non-calcified type, and cystic/microcystic are the three recently recognized histological subtypes of CEOT in the 5th edition of the World Health Organization Classification of Head and Neck Tumors. Almost 350-400 cases of CEOT have been reported in literature, accounting for less than 1% of the reported cases of odontogenic tumors.
