Background/aims: This study aimed to evaluate the performance of an investigational multiplex hypermethylation-based HCC screening test (mhsH) in the detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using blood samples.

Methods: Adult patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) were enrolled in this prospective case-control study. For the mhsH test, blood samples were collected, and the cell-free DNA obtained from the samples was analyzed for methylation patterns using multiplex droplet digital polymerase chain reaction.

There is limited literature on sarcoid like granuloma (SLG) associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here in, we studied clinicopathological characteristics, and explored the potential significance of SLG in HCC. We termed these tumors as granuloma rich HCC (GrHCC).

. Neutrophil-rich hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is an extremely uncommon subtype of HCC with an overall incidence of <1%. Neutrophil-rich HCC shows poor cellular differentiation and sarcomatoid transformation in most patients.

Introduction: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in pediatrics has a uniformly poor prognosis. Complete surgical resection or liver transplantation remain the only curative options. In contrast to adult HCC, literature on pediatric HCC is sparse and a majority of the distinct subtypes are undefined with regards to their histology, immunohistochemistry and prognosis.

Purpose: We studied the prevalence of celiac trunk and its anatomical variations on diagnostic computed tomography angiography (CTA) studies and have proposed a new classification to define the celiac artery (CA) variations based on embryology.

Material And Methods: We retrospectively assessed the celiac trunk variations in 1113 patients who came to our department for diagnostic CTA for liver and renal donor workup. The patient data were acquired from the Picture Archiving and Communication System of our institutions.

DH is a rare but well-recognized complication of PLT. However, a recurrent DH in the setting of PLT has not been reported. We report the case of a child who had previously undergone a DH repair early after PLT and presented more than two years later with atypical findings of severe sepsis and a tender abdominal swelling.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to correlate the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of adhesive capsulitis with clinical stages and thereby propose a MR staging system.

Materials And Methods: This study consisted of 74 patients with clinically diagnosed adhesive capsulitis. The edema of the inferior glenohumeral ligament (IGHL), pericapsular edema, thickness of anterior band of IGHL, axillary pouch, thickness of coracohumeral ligament, and obliteration of fat in the subcoracoid triangle were evaluated by MRI.

Objective: The aim of our study was to evaluate the diagnostic utility of three-dimensional sampling perfection with application optimized contrast using different flip angle evolution (3D SPACE) sequence and Susceptibility Weighted Imaging (SWI) in hydrocephalus and to propose a refined definition and classification of hydrocephalus with relevance to the selection of treatment option.

Materials And Methods: A prospective study of 109 patients with hydrocephalus was performed with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain using standardized institutional sequences along with additional sequences 3D SPACE and SWI. The images were independently read by two senior neuroradiologists and the etiopathogenesis of hydrocephalus was arrived by consensus.
