Product engagement detection in retail environments is critical for understanding customer preferences through nonverbal cues such as gaze and hand movements. This study presents a system leveraging a 360-degree top-view fisheye camera combined with two perspective cameras, the only sensors required for deployment, effectively capturing subtle interactions even under occlusion or distant camera setups. Unlike conventional image-based gaze estimation methods that are sensitive to background variations and require capturing a person's full appearance, raising privacy concerns, our approach utilizes a novel Transformer-based encoder operating directly on 3D skeletal keypoints.

Introduction: Placental abruption is a serious complication of pregnancy, and smoking is a well-known risk factor thereof. However, evaluations of the effects of smoking mostly rely on self-reported questionnaires, resulting in incorrect representation of smoke exposure owing to incorrect reporting and missing data on passive smoking. Cotinine is a major nicotine metabolite and a sensitive biomarker in smokers.

The Fukushima Health Management Survey, conducted by Fukushima Prefecture since the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake (GEJE), has not identified any health effects from radiation exposure. Complete blood counts (CBC), which are sensitive to radiation exposure, have not shown lymphocytopenia, neutropenia, anemia, or thrombocytopenia, but the white blood cell fractions have not yet been analyzed since 2011. We classified 25,885 residents (11,383 male, 14,502 female;age range, 16-84 years) in evacuation areas with external exposure dose estimates based on behavioral surveys conducted 4 months after the GEJE into two groups (0-1 [≥0 and <1] and ≥1 mSv) and analyzed changes in CBC and leukocyte fractions from fiscal year (FY) 2011 to FY2017 and their influencing factors.

: In glioblastoma trials, efficacy evaluation often deviates from the standard Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST), an objective response rate (ORR) method, because of the unique nature of brain tumors. In phase II trials from the fiscal years (FYs) 2017-2019, primary endpoints (PEs) were overall survival (OS) at 29%, ORR at 20%, progression-free survival (PFS) at 17%, and OS rate at 10%. Clinical trial methodologies have likely evolved in recent years.

Human parainfluenza virus 3 (HPIV3) contains a purine-rich RNA editing site, allowing multiple viral proteins to be produced from a single gene by the posttranscriptional addition of G nucleotides. The Fukushima/O695/2019 (O695) HPIV3 clinical isolate has a G-to-A substitution at the last position of five serial G residues in the RNA editing site. This study evaluates the effects of this substitution in the RNA editing site on the biological character of HPIV3.

Layered oxides, such as NaMeO (Me = transition metal, = 0-1), are believed to be the most promising positive electrode materials for Na-ion batteries because of their high true density, large capacities, high working potentials, and reversibility. This study identified Na[NiMnFeTi]O as an optimal composition for use as an O3-type positive electrode material in Na-ion batteries on the basis of a comprehensive phase diagram, where the end members of the triangular phase diagram were Na[NiMn]O, Na[NiTi]O, and the hypothetical composition Na[NiFe]O. By investigating the effects of the partial substitution of Mn with Fe and Ti within the Na[NiMnFeTi]O system, we optimized the capacity, working potential, and cycle performance.
