Open rock masses are subject to prolonged loading and freeze-thaw cycles in cold regions. In this study, we take saturated fissured red sandstone as object to investigate the long-term mechanical response characteristics of fractured rock under freeze-thaw conditions. Experimental tests were conducted to analyze the creep characteristics of the rock after freeze-thaw cycles, considering different freeze-thaw frequencies and fracture orientations.

In this attempt, we investigate whether miR-125b regulates biological behaviors of cervical cancer caused by HPV16 through TAZ.
Methods: Through the application of bioinformatics analysis techniques, differentially expressed miRNAs relevant to cervical cancer were identified.
Leaves are the primary vegetative organs of plants, and their morphology is an important trait affecting plant architecture, light energy utilization, environmental adaptation, and fruit quality and yield. Leaf development is highly flexible; however, understanding the regulatory mechanisms of factors coordinating leaf morphogenesis and differentiation remains limited. In this study, we obtained a double mutant for SlTCP29 and SlTCP24 genes from the CRISPR/Cas9 mutant population, both belonging to the CINCINNATA-like TCP (TEOSINTE BRANCHED, CYCLOIDEA and PCF1/2) transcription factor subfamily.

Adequate mutant materials are the prerequisite for conducting gene function research or screening novel functional genes in plants. The strategy of constructing a large-scale mutant population using the pooled CRISPR/Cas9-sgRNA library has been implemented in several crops. However, the effective application of this CRISPR/Cas9 large-scale screening strategy to tomato remains to be attempted.

This study investigated the role of the family with sequence similarity 201-member A (FAM201A), as previously reported oncogenic, in cervical cancer (CC). FAM201A expression in CC was analyzed through bioinformatics analyses, and its distribution in CC tissues/cells was determined by hybridization. CC cells were transfected/cotransfected with FAM201A/flotillin-1 (FLOT1) overexpression plasmids and miR-1271-5p mimics, followed by functional analysis on viability, migration and invasion.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the expression levels of microRNA-141-5p(miRNA-141-5p), MAPK1 and neutrophil elastase in patients with and without preeclampsia (PE), and the relationship between miRNA-141-5p and MAPK1 with respect to the secretion of elastase by neutrophils in patients with PE.
Methods: Thirty patients with PE and 30 healthy pregnant (HP) women were recruited from The Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Taiyuan, China, between February 2017 and July 2018. Neutrophils were isolated from 8 mL peripheral blood samples and cultured.

Background And Aim: Data on type-specific human papillomavirus (HPV) are needed to investigate HPV-based screening tests and HPV vaccines. However, Chinese relevant data are insufficient. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to summarize and demonstrate the prevalence and distribution of HPV genotypes in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and compensate for the shortage of HPV vaccines in China.

Objective: Preeclampsia is a pregnancy-specific syndrome characterized by hypertension and proteinuria. Impaired trophoblast invasion partly modulated by abnormal MAPK1/ERK2 signaling played important roles in the pathological process of preeclampsia. The objective of this study is to investigate miR-141-5p regulate ATF2 via effecting MAPK1/ERK2 signaling to promote preeclampsia.

Objectives: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is a highly prevalent cancer withpoor survival rate and prognosis. Increasing evidence suggests an important role for metabolic regulation in treating esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. The pyruvate kinase M2 isoform is a key enzyme in the energy production process, and the upregulation of pyruvate kinase M2 isoform also plays a crucial role in gene transcription and tumorigenesis.

Transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) can induced EMT, which could increase tumor migration and invasion. Moreover, recent studies have been proven that mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a critical regulator of EMT.

This study investigated the mechanisms of metformin in TGF-β1-induced Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in cervical carcinoma cells.

However, the clinicopathological features associated with survivin overexpression in cervical carcinoma remain controversial. Thus, the current meta-analysis was performed to assess the clinicopathological significance of survivin in cervical carcinoma.

Methods: We retrospectively investigated 140 Thinprep cytologic test (TCT) specimens that were histopathologically diagnosed with various stages of cervical neoplasia or malignancy. The specimens were subjected to TCT, human papillomavirus (HPV) testing, and FISH analysis with a c-myc-specific probe.
