Diagnosis of congenital ectopia lentis: a case report and review of the literature.

Background: Congenital ectopia lentis (CEL) is a rare ophthalmic disorder characterized by partial or complete dislocation of the lens, leading to significant visual impairment. The etiology is complex, often involving genetic factors and systemic diseases. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to prevent complications and preserve the patient's vision.

Evaluating multimodal ChatGPT for emergency decision-making of ocular trauma cases.

Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of toric intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in individuals with cataracts and asymmetric corneal astigmatism and to assess their postoperative visual quality.

Methods: In this prospective case series, 26 eyes of individuals with cataracts and corneal astigmatism > 0.75 diopters (D) and asymmetric central astigmatism as identified through corneal topography were examined at the Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, China.
