In the context of the over-representation of women who are Indigenous in prisons and historical and structural barriers to health, we undertook a scoping review to understand research regarding the reproductive and maternal health experiences of Indigenous women in prison in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the USA. We searched online databases in May 2022 since inception, as well as Google and governmental websites between December 2022 and March 2023. We identified 8 eligible articles.

Quw'utsun people and staff from the community's Ts'ewulhtun Health Centre partnered with the BC First Nations Health Authority, Island Health (regional health authority), and the University of British Columbia to develop Nuts'a'maat shqwaluwun (one heart, one mind), a framework for conducting research activities.
Intervention: Guided by Elders, Nuts'a'maat shqwaluwun incorporated Quw'utsun standards for research ethics by knitting together snuw'uy'ulh (ways of life), such as Stsi'elh stuhw tu Sul-hween (honour the Elders), with federal policy for ethical conduct of research involving Indigenous people.

Background: Canada continues to experience a national overdose crisis. While studies are available at the regional, provincial, and territorial levels, detailed national data regarding the burden and context of substance-related acute toxicity deaths are limited, particularly in subpopulations. In response to the overdose crisis, the Public Health Agency of Canada, in collaboration with provincial and territorial ministries of health and chief coroner and chief medical examiner offices, has undertaken a national chart review study.

Background: Indigenous Peoples comprise the youngest and fastest growing demographic in Canada, with many living in urban-suburban areas. Given higher fertility rates, younger overall ages and higher adolescent pregnancy rates, perinatal research is needed-to inform policymaking and programming throughout pregnancy and childhood. Yet such data remain scarce in British Columbia (BC), Canada.

Methods: We used population-based data from cross-sectional cycles of the Canadian Community Health Survey (2015-2020), including 4 months during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Introduction: Substance-related acute toxicity deaths continue to be a serious public health concern in Canada. This study explored coroner and medical examiner (C/ME)perspectives of contextual risk factors and characteristics associated with deaths from acute toxic effects of opioids and other illegal substances in Canada.
Methods: In-depth interviews were conducted with 36 C/MEs in eight provinces and territories between December 2017 and February 2018.
Background: Pregnancy is associated with an increased risk for depression, anxiety, and insomnia. eHealth interventions provide a promising and accessible treatment alternative to face-to-face interventions.
Objective: The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to determine the effectiveness of eHealth interventions in preventing and treating depression, anxiety, and insomnia during pregnancy.
When navigating, women typically focus on landmarks within the environment, whereas men tend to focus on the Euclidean properties of the environment. However, it is unclear whether these observed differences in navigational skill result from disparate strategies or disparate ability. To remove this confound, the present study required participants to follow either landmark- or Euclidean-based instructions during a navigation task (either in the real-world or on paper).
