Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by the involvement of multiple organs and dysregulation of the immune system. Zinc finger (ZNF) proteins act as DNA-binding transcription factors, thereby regulating gene expression. Polymorphisms, specifically single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), within ZNF-coding genes, have been implicated in susceptibility to autoimmune diseases, including the ZNF-76 gene in SLE.

Fifteen sexually mature Ossimi rams were allocated randomly into two treated groups that orally administered either nano APS (2 g/ram/day; n = 5) or APS (20 g/ram/day; n = 5) for four weeks and a control group (n = 5). The nano-emulsion was prepared by adding corn oil to the APS solution, sonicated, centrifuged at 20,000 rpm, then washed 3-4 times, and vacuum dried overnight at 40 °C.

It promotes one-pot reactions, including active methylenes and benzyl alcohols in water, via a tandem aerobic oxidation/Knoevenagel condensation process, yielding benzylidene malononitrile in excellent yields. The catalyst's ability to oxidize benzyl alcohols to aldehydes, which then undergo Knoevenagel condensation with active methylenes, makes it a multifunctional catalyst.

Bovine lactoperoxidase (BLPO) stems from the most important enzymes in the bovine whey that provide a proper pattern for nano-formulation with nanomaterials. LPO is a suitable protein to be coated or adsorbed to alginate modified graphene oxide (GO-SA), which forms the modified GO-SA-LPO hybrid structure.

The prepared composite was synthesized by a coprecipitation method and then examined by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and TGA. XRD analysis proved physical interactions between magnetic chitosan and graphene oxide through (inter- and intramolecular H-bonding and peptide bonding).

This work aims to prepare a novel phosphate-embedded silica nanoparticles (P@SiO) nanocomposite as an effective adsorbent through a hydrothermal route. Firstly, a mixed solution of sodium silicate and sodium phosphate was passed through a strong acidic resin to convert it into hydrogen form. After that, the resultant solution was hydrothermally treated to yield P@SiO nanocomposite.

The prepared beads were characterized using various techniques before and after the adsorption of MB. The experimental results showed that the adsorption processes fit the kinetic pseudo-second-order and Langmuir isotherm models.

This methodology comprises the cyclocondensation reaction of 5-amino-2-phenyl-4-pyrazol-3-one with an assortment of arylhydrazonals in an NHOAc/AcOH buffer solution operating a Q-tube reactor. This versatile protocol exhibited several outstanding merits: easy work-up, mild conditions, scalability, broad substrate scope, safety (the Q-tube kit is simply for pressing and sealing), and a high atom economy.

The aforementioned reactions in the aim to prepare basic five-, six-, organometallic heterocyclic-membered systems and/or their fused analogs. This review article also provides a report on the developed methods describing the synthesis of various heterocycles from organic azides, especially those reported in recent papers (till 2020).

Different characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were used to demonstrate the physical and chemical properties of the fabricated FeO@Talc nanocomposite. In addition, the adsorption isothermic, kinetic, and thermodynamic properties were illustrated.

The efficiency of the ([Py-2OH]OAc as a promoter for the sono-synthesis of a novel library of condensed products through DABCO-catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation process of adequate active cyclic methylenes and ninhydrin was next investigated using ultimate greener conditions. All of the reactions studied went cleanly and smoothly, and the resulting Knoevenagel condensation compounds were recovered in high yields without detecting the aldol intermediates in the end products.

A radical-scavenging, guided phytochemical study of the latex of Calotropis Procera afforded five lignans (1-5), including a new one (4). The structural determination was accomplished using 1D- and 2D-NMR, high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS), and correlation with known compounds. Among the isolated compounds, acylated lignans (3-5) showed stronger antioxidant activity than non-acylated derivatives (1,2).

Three new cardenolides (3, 9 and 10), along with eight known ones, were isolated from the latex of Calotropis procera. The structural determination was accomplished by the 1D- and 2D-NMR spectra as well as HRESIMS analysis. The growth inhibitory activity of the latex and its sub-fractions as well as isolated compounds was evaluated against human A549 and Hela cell lines.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a common complication in cancer patients. Several genetic risk factors related to thrombophilia are known; however, their contributions to thrombotic tendency in cancer patients have conflicting results. We aimed to determine the prevalence of factor V Leiden (FVL), prothrombin (PTH) G20210A and methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C677T gene polymorphisms in Egyptian nonmetastatic cancer patients and their influence on thrombosis risk in those patients.
