Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play vital roles in signal transduction and plant development. However, how lncRNA expression might have been globally altered during Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) breeding and what potential roles they play in regulating metabolite accumulation in fruit remain unclear. Here, we identified 15,548 lncRNAs using RNA-sequencing data from 404 tomato accessions.

Leaves play a critical role in plant growth and development, directly influencing crop yield through their essential functions in photosynthesis and respiration. This study employed inheritance analysis and gene mapping of an F population derived from a cross between a spontaneous yellow-green leaf tomato mutant and a wild-type tomato line. The findings conclusively demonstrated that the yellow-green leaf trait is controlled by a single recessive gene.

However, the sugar content of commercial varieties is generally low, as it is inversely correlated with fruit size, and growers prioritize yield over flavour quality. Here we identified two genes, tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) calcium-dependent protein kinase 27 (SlCDPK27; also known as SlCPK27) and its paralogue SlCDPK26, that control fruit sugar content.

However, most of these studies have focused on crop root microbiomes, while those on leaf and fruit are rare. In this study, we generated a comprehensive dataset including the metagenomic (leaf) and metatranscriptomic (fruit pericarp in the orange stage) data of hundreds of germplasms from three tomato clades: (PIM), cherry tomato ( var.

The solution to this problem is to identify all causal genetic variants and to measure their individual contributions. Here we report a graph pangenome of tomato constructed by precisely cataloguing more than 19 million variants from 838 genomes, including 32 new reference-level genome assemblies.

This paper aimed to explore the anti-inflammatory effect of ethanol extract from Saposhnikoviae Radix in a lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammation mouse model and its regulation of TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. The ethanol extract from Saposhnikoviae Radix was separated and purified on the macroporous adsorption resin and its main chemical components were identified by UPLC-QE/MS. The identification results showed that the top ten components of ethanol extract from Saposhnikoviae Radix were mainly chromones and coumarins.

RING domain proteins generally have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity and are involved in degrading their substrate proteins. The roles of these proteins in growth, development, and responses to different abiotic stresses have been described well in various plant species, but little is available on tomatoes. Here, we identified 474 RING domains in 469 potential proteins encoded in the tomato genome.
