Behçet disease (BD) is a chronic, relapsing inflammatory disorder, and human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-B*51 is considered to be the strongest genetic susceptibility factor. The integrated stress response (ISR), defined by the eIF2α/ATF4 axis, is a signaling network that maintains protein homeostasis and regulates innate immunity in eukaryotic cells; pathological activation of this pathway can affect the immune response and cause various diseases. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of the ISR signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of BD.

Metal accumulation sites in fruits.

Global fruit production suffers from pre- and post-harvest losses, part of which are related to metal deficiencies. Despite fruits being one of the most widely consumed plant parts, the spatial distribution of metals and their possible physiological impact remained largely unexplored. In this study, we searched for conserved metal accumulation sites in fruits of various crops and investigated their physiological function.

Radiological Comparison of Piezosurgery and Classical Osteotomies in Rhinoplasty.

Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the radiological measurements of patients who underwent rhinoplasty using a piezo device with those of patients who underwent rhinoplasty using a classical osteotome.

Methods: A total of 60 patients were included in the study: 30 rhinoplasty patients who underwent piezosurgical osteotomy and 30 who underwent classical osteotomy. Preoperative and postoperative functional and aesthetic outcomes were compared using NOSE and ROE scores.

Elderberry fruit leather was produced using RSM to evaluate the effects of hot air drying (60, 65, 70 °C), sucrose concentration (12, 14, 16 %), and thickness (2, 3, 4 mm) on total phenolic content (TPC), total antioxidant capacity (TAC) via DPPH, CUPRAC, FRAP and total monomeric anthocyanin (TMA) during in-vitro gastrointestinal digestion. Samples exhibited a decrease in TPC, TAC (except-DPPH), and TMA after-digestion. Increased sucrose enhanced TAC-DPPH in post-gastric and post-intestinal phases, while higher temperature boosted TAC in undigested samples but reduced TPC.

Retrotransposons are mobile repetitive elements that constitute around 43% of the human genome. Normally silenced through epigenetic mechanisms, retrotransposons can become reactivated in response to various stimuli, producing immunogenic DNA, RNA, and peptides that trigger innate and adaptive immune responses. In normal hematopoiesis, retrotransposon reactivation can drive inflammatory signaling responses, which support stem cell activity, influencing hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSPC) regeneration.

Objectives: To investigate the fabrication and fit accuracy of three-unit definitive resin fixed partial dentures (FPDs) manufactured with different vat polymerization technologies, and to compare them with those manufactured subtractively.

Methods: A total of 48 three-unit posterior fixed partial dentures (FPDs) were fabricated either additively from a resin intended for definitive use (VarseoSmile Triniq) with low force display (Form 4B, AM-LFD), digital light processing (Max UV, AM-DLP), and liquid crystal display (SOL, AM-LCD) technologies, or subtractively from high-impact polymer composite (breCAM.HIPC, SM) (n = 12).

Effective myocardial protection is essential for successful cardiac surgery outcomes, especially in complex and prolonged procedures. Interstitial Lung Disease Associated with Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases: An Experience from Türkiye.

Objective: Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is one of the most challenging involvement of autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARDs) and could lead to significant morbidity and mortality. In this article, a collaborative work of tertiary rheumatology and pulmonology centers describing demographic, serological, and radiological findings of patients with ARD associated with ILD (ARD-ILD) is presented. Methods: A descriptive, retrospective study, and data related to demographics, clinical, laboratory, radiologic, or histopathological findings of ILD were collected from the study participants' charts.

Ostial Stent Implantation or Crossover Stenting for Ostial LAD Lesions: The Multicenter CROSS-ANATOLIA Registry.

Background: The purpose of this study was to determine whether muscle viscoelastic properties, muscle activation and thigh rotational velocity and rotational acceleration are significantly associated with high ball speed during instep soccer kick by prepubescent male athletes.

Methodology: This study included 31 prepubescent male soccer players. Maximal ball speed during the instep kick was measured using a radar gun.

Methods: This large-scale, multicenter study (n = 8) included patients with CBLs who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention with either MCT or DKCT. Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study included patients with systemic sclerosis (n = 84) and controls (n = 74). We recorded the sociodemographic parameters, blood pressure (mmHg), and laboratory parameters (mg/dL) of the study groups, as well as disease-related parameters in patients with systemic sclerosis, along with the modified Rodnan skin score.
