Background: Osteoporosis (OP) is the most prevailing primary bone disease caused by the imbalance between bone resorption and formation. Rhizoma Drynariae-derived EV-like particles (RD-EVLP) perform the anti-osteoporosis effect by promoting the osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (h-BMSCs) which may be regulated by circular RNAs (circRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs). This study aimed to reveal the functional roles and mechanisms of the RD-EVLP regulating osteogenic differentiation of osteoporosis through the activation of hsa_circ_0001275 sponging miR-422a.

In this study, a novel hierarchical pore MIL-101(Cr) foam (HPF-MIL-101) was designed and prepared using the sacrificial template method with NaCl as the sacrificial template. This method involved grinding, heating, and washing the NaCl template to produce HPF-MIL-101, with PVDF as the binder and MIL-101(Cr) as the adsorbent. This preparation process is both straightforward and cost-effective, avoiding the use or generation of any organic reagents, thereby offering an environmentally sustainable approach for producing metal-organic framework (MOF) composites.

This study describes the preparation of a cylindrical polymer foam column termed Chitosan/β-Cyclodextrin/MIL-68(Al) (CS/β-CD/MIL-68(Al)). An ice template-freeze drying technique was employed to prepare the CS/β-CD/MIL-68(Al) foam column by embedding MIL-68(Al) in a polymer matrix comprising cross-linked chitosan (CS) and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD). The cylindrical CS/β-CD/MIL-68(Al) foam was subsequently inserted into a syringe to develop a solid phase extraction (SPE) device.

Although various anti-osteoporosis drugs are available, the limitations of these therapies, including drug resistance and collateral responses, require the development of novel anti-osteoporosis agents. Rhizoma Drynariae displays a promising anti-osteoporosis effect, while the effective component and mechanism remain unclear. Here, we revealed the therapeutic potential of Rhizoma Drynariae-derived nanovesicles (RDNVs) for postmenopausal osteoporosis and demonstrated that RDNVs potentiated osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) by targeting estrogen receptor-alpha (ER).

In this study, we propose a pioneering spatially frequency-shifted super-resolution microscopy technique that utilizes the synergy of quasiperiodic gratings and deep learning. First, a quasiperiodic grating capable of converting evanescent waves into propagating waves is designed. The grating is positioned between the object under investigation and the objective lens, and the high-frequency information carried by the evanescent waves in the near-field region of the object is shifted into the detection window and becomes accessible in the far field for imaging.
