Ethnic Violence Among Adolescents in Educational Settings: A Systematic Review.

As ethnic diversity increases in schools, it"s vital to understand the dynamics of ethnic violence, which can negatively impact student well-being and academic achievement. Addressing the issue requires recognizing the complexities of ethnic diversity, promoting inclusivity, and implementing targeted interventions to prevent and mitigate violence. This systematic review focuses on understanding the multiple levels of factors that contribute to ethnic violence among adolescents within school settings.

Exploring healthcare workers' perceptions and experiences regarding post-traumatic stress disorder after 2 years of the last global pandemic.

Background: The adverse mental health consequences of the coronavirus epidemic for healthcare workers (HCWs) affect the quality of care and patient satisfaction; HCWs need to maintain good mental health during and after an epidemic, especially in low-income countries like Iran, where human resources in the health care sector are insufficient. The aims of this study are to explore the perceptions and experiences of healthcare workers regarding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after 2 years of the last Global Pandemic.

Methods: We conducted the present study in Mazandarn province, Iran, using a qualitative approach based on conventional content analysis.

The pathways between abstinence self-efficacy, perceived social support and substance use craving.

Low abstinence self-efficacy, lack of social support, especially from family and friends, low self-esteem, feeling lonely, and lack of self-control have been considered as risk factors for substance use disorders, but the pathways of these risk factors on drug craving have not yet been determined. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the association between abstinence self-efficacy and perceived social support on the one hand to drug craving in patients referred to substance use treatment centers on the other hand, with loneliness, self-control, and self-esteem as mediating variables. The present study is a descriptive-correlational modeling study.

Gender characteristics, social determinants, and seasonal patterns of malaria incidence, relapse, and mortality in Sistan and Baluchistan province and other province of Iran: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Malaria is a climate-dependent disease influenced by gender, social determination, seasonal patterns, and relapse incidence This study reviews these characteristics of malaria in the Sistan and Baluchistan (S&B) province and another province of Iran.

Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted through systematic and manual searches in electronic databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, Google Scholar, and the Scientific Information Database. Studies from the S&B province, published from 1990 to 2024, written in Farsi and English, and reporting incidence, relapse, or death were included in this study.

Perceived stress reduction through an infertility coaching program: a randomized controlled clinical trial.

Infertility has been recognized as a distressing experience among couples worldwide, cutting across various cultures. This present study was conducted to assess the impact of a supportive stress management program led by an infertility coach for women undergoing fertility treatment. This randomized controlled clinical trial study was performed on 60 infertile women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques at Maryam Infertility Center located in Sari in 2018.

Explaining sexual self-care status and its predictor factors in women referring to healthcare centers of Sari, Iran, 2021.

Introduction: With the increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases and chronic health problems along with population growth, one of the definitions that is expanding is the ability to adapt and self-manage against diseases and self-care. Although there are several studies to examine self-care in medical conditions, there are not enough concepts and data related to sexual self-care. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of explaining the status of sexual self-care and its predictor factors in women of reproductive age referring to healthcare centers.

Bovine ephemeral fever is an acute and arthropod-borne viral disease of cattle and water buffalo which occurs seasonally in most of the world tropical and subtropical regions. The epizootic feature of the disease has been reported in Iran with serious economic consequences. The surface glycoprotein G of bovine ephemeral fever virus (BEFV) is composed of 4 antigenic sites (G1-G4) and plays the main role for eliciting neutralizing antibodies and protective immunity.

Background: Infertility all around the world and in every culture is recognized as a stressful and critical experience that threatens individual, familial, marital, and social stability. Thus, in accordance with the importance of a woman's mental health and the possible impact of mental health on treatment outcome, finding a way to deal with perceived stress in women can help improve pregnancy outcomes.

Raised CA125 serum level in tubercular peritonitis.

A 24-year old woman was admitted with a history of fever and pelvic pain. ESR and CA125 serum level were high and PPD test was negative. Ultra sound and CT evaluation detected free fluid in abdominopelvic cavity.

The effect of magnesium sulfate on bleeding time and nitric oxide production in preeclamsia.

Unlabelled: Preeclampsia is a disease regarding with altered vascular reactivity leading to hypertension of the mother and metabolic alterations in the fetus. This study aimed to assess nitric oxide and bleeding time following administration of magnesium sulfate to preeclamtic patients compared to normotensive pregnant women. A total of 112 subjects (56 preeclamtic patients and 56 normotensive pregnant controls) were enrolled in this case-control study.

Mortality in primary immunodeficient patients, registered in Iranian primary immunodeficiency registry.
