Retroperitoneal schwannoma, a rare mesenchymal-derived tumor originating from the retroperitoneum. Malignant retroperitoneal schwannoma carries a dismal prognosis. We present a case of a 19-year-old male who presented with left abdominal pain.

Few studies have described the key features and prognostic roles of lung microbiota in patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia (SCAP). We prospectively enrolled consecutive SCAP patients admitted to ICU. Bronchoscopy was performed at bedside within 48 h of ICU admission, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing was applied to the collected bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.

Background: Vaccinated individuals infected with measles can develop nodular pneumonia. These cases can be misdiagnosed due to the absence of specific IgM and typical symptoms. An effective diagnostic tool is needed.
