Background: USP37, a versatile deubiquitinase, plays a pivotal role in numerous cellular functions. Although its involvement in cancer development is well-established, the comprehensive pan-cancer analysis of USP37 remains relatively uncharted.
Methods: RNA sequencing data from both normal and cancerous tissues were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) databases.
In clinical practice, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), a kind of Western medicine, are the primary treatment for depression, a complex mental illness. However, these treatments are associated with significant adverse reactions. With their many benefits and distinctive features, such as all-encompassing intervention and general control through several targets, processes, and pathways, the active components in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hold great promise for the treatment of depression.

The global surge in the population of people 60 years and older, including that in China, challenges healthcare systems with rising age-related diseases. To address this demographic change, the Aging Biomarker Consortium (ABC) has launched the X-Age Project to develop a comprehensive aging evaluation system tailored to the Chinese population. Our goal is to identify robust biomarkers and construct composite aging clocks that capture biological age, defined as an individual's physiological and molecular state, across diverse Chinese cohorts.

Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), an aggressive neuroendocrine tumor strongly associated with exposure to tobacco carcinogens, is characterized by early dissemination and dismal prognosis with a five-year overall survival of less than 7%. High-frequency gain-of-function mutations in oncogenes are rarely reported, and intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) remains to be determined in SCLC. Multiple immune pathways become activated during aging, posing a challenge to effectively reduce aging-associated inflammation. SIRT2, an NAD-dependent deacetylase, suppresses several immune pathways that become activated during aging and may represent an attractive target to broadly dampen aging-associated inflammation.
