Neuroblastoma (NB) is an aggressive cancer and has poor prognosis in children. TP-0903, a multi-kinase inhibitor, shows inhibitory effects on NB but the mechanistic act is not completely explored. Here, we aimed to explore the anticancer activity of TP-0903 against NB cells and its underlying mechanism.

Methods: The present research initiative involved an exhaustive exploration of pertinent scholarly literature in renowned databases, which lasted until April 2023. The evaluative framework encompassed a diverse array of parameters, including but not limited to operation time, hospitalization, quantification of estimated blood loss, the assessment of outcomes via the application of the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) to gauge pain intensity, and the utilization of the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) to measure functional impairment.

Background Context: Obesity is a known risk factor for various adverse health conditions and surgical complications, including in spine surgery. While obesity is associated with increased perioperative risks in lumbar fusion surgery, its impact on long-term fusion success remains controversial.
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of obesity on fusion outcomes following posterior lumbar fusion surgery, with a specific focus on the incidence of pseudarthrosis at multiple postoperative time points.

Objective: Uniportal full-endoscopic transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (FE-TLIF) carries a unique risk of nerve traction and abrasion injury during cage insertion. This study aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the GUARD technique and delayed ligamentum flavectomy in reducing postoperative radicular pain and neurapraxia in patients undergoing uniportal FE-TLIF.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 45 patients with an average age of 53.

This video presents a case of L4-5 unstable spondylolisthesis treated with full-endoscopic transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (Endo-TLIF), emphasizing the GUARD (Glider Used as a Rotary Device) technique for nerve root protection. This innovative approach involves controlled rotation of the cage glider before cage insertion to minimize the risk of nerve root injury, a significant complication in Endo-TLIF procedures. The GUARD technique, validated in previous cadaveric studies, provides enhanced safety during cage insertion by protecting the nerve root.

Aim: This systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the association of physical therapy, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and physical agent modality, with HRQOL improvement in PWH.
Methods: Databases PubMed, Embase, MEDLINE, and Scopus were searched from inception until April 2024.
Background: Chronic low back pain (CLBP) with sacroiliac joint (SIJ) involvement is a prevalent issue in health care. Surgical intervention, employing an endoscopic technique with a navigation system, targets and ablates nociceptive nerve fibers associated with SIJ pain, although the clinical effect of omitting rhizotomy of the lateral sacral branch of S3 remains uncertain.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes of 2 full-endoscopic rhizotomy and ablation (FERA) techniques for SIJ pain and to determine the effect of omitting rhizotomy of the lateral sacral branch of S3 on patient outcomes.
Objective: To provide insights into the learning curve of unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) spine surgery by synthesizing available evidence on critical points and associated clinical outcomes.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across multiple databases, yielding a pool of relevant studies. Inclusion criteria encompassed studies reporting on UBE learning curves and quantitative data related to clinical outcomes (operative time, hospital stay, and complications).

The relationship between metastasis-associated protein 2 (MTA2) overexpression and tumor growth and metastasis has been extensively studied in a variety of tumor cells but not in human osteosarcoma cells. This study aims to elucidate the clinical significance, underlying molecular mechanisms, and biological functions of MTA2 in human osteosarcoma and . Our results show that MTA2 was elevated in osteosarcoma cell lines and osteosarcoma tissues and was associated with tumor stage and overall survival of osteosarcoma patients.

Background: Ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunts are commonly used for managing hydrocephalus, with mechanical dysfunction being the most common cause of complications that require revision. A VP shunt placed using a real-time three-dimensional (3D) robotic C-arm navigation system may have better outcomes and fewer complications.
Methods: In this technical note, we introduced the workflow of the use of the real-time 3D robotic C-arm navigation system for ventriculoperitoneal shunting.
Study Design: The study included 2 fresh-frozen cadavers.
Objective: To elucidate the positional relationship between surgical instruments and nerve roots during full endoscopic facet-sparing (FE fs-TLIF) and full endoscopic facet-resecting (FE fr-TLIF) transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion and propose safe instrumentation insertion procedures and recommend cage glider designs aimed at protecting nerve roots.
Background: Endoscopic surgical techniques are increasingly used for minimally invasive lumbar fusion surgery, with FE fr-TLIF and FE fs-TLIF being common approaches.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the impact of full endoscopic transforaminal discectomy (FETD) on clinical outcomes and complications in both obese and non-obese patients presenting with lumbar disc herniation (LDH).
Methods: A systematic search of relevant literature was conducted across various primary databases until November 18, 2023. Operative time and hospitalization were evaluated.
Objective: The study aimed to determine the incidence and risk factors associated with bone cement dislodgement in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture following balloon kyphoplasty treatment.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 203 patients who underwent kyphoplasty in 255 vertebral bodies between January 2017 and December 2021. The patients were categorized into two groups: the bone cement dislodgment group (n = 16) and the non-bone cement dislodgement group (n = 239).

Background: Spinal dural arteriovenous fistula (sDAVF) is a rare vascular malformation that leads to serious neurological symptoms. We treat a 52-year-old man with sDAVF in the thoracic segment exhibiting uncoordinated gait.
Method: Thoracic MRI of the lesion indicated myelomalacia and dilated blood vessels, while DSA revealed the right T6 radicular artery as the feeding arteriole.
Objective: This meta-analysis aims to refine the understanding of the optimal choice between different cage shapes in transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) by systematically comparing perioperative data, radiological outcomes, clinical results, and complications associated with banana-shaped and straight bullet cages.
Methods: A meticulous literature search encompassing PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, China Knowledge Network, and Wanfang Data was executed up to October 5, 2023. Inclusion criteria focused on studies comparing banana-shaped and straight bullet cages in TLIF.
Objective: This case presentation aims to highlight the challenges and outcomes associated with a partial tear of the Achilles tendon (AT) in an elite marathon runner. The objective was to restore tendon anatomy and optimize strength recovery through surgical intervention.
Method: We present the case of a marathon runner who suffered a partial AT tear and underwent an initial surgery that failed.
