Background: Evidence has firmly established the association between superior cardiovascular health (CVH) and reduced susceptibility to cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs). In reality, CVH experiences dynamic fluctuations throughout individuals' lifespans. However, the association between changes in CVH and the impact on CMDs among individuals with different genetic risks remains unclear.

Samples of water, aquatic plants, and fish were collected from four key areas of heavy metal pollution prevention and control in Zhejiang Province. The levels of elements were analyzed using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).

We explored how and the extent to which a healthy lifestyle, by considering a comprehensive list, could counteract the genetic risk of those diseases, respectively.
Methods: 315 044 participants free of stroke and MI at baseline were identified from the UK Biobank.

Although, acupoint specificity is regarded as the core of scientific issues in electroacupuncture (EA), the difference of EA on treating functional dyspepsia (FD) at different acupoints is unclear. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the different therapeutic effects of EA at lower extremity or abdominal acupoints on the mucosal integrity and lower-inflammatory response in FD. The intragastric administration of iodoacetamide (IA) was performed in 48 rats to establish the FD model.

Conductive hydrogels have important potential in biosensors, bioactuators, and health recording electrodes, but they are often troubled by sensitivity, operating temperature range, and whether they can be recycled or not. In this paper, conductive hydrogels poly(vinyl alcohol)/glycerol/polyaniline (PGA) were prepared by organic combination of low-cost poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), polyaniline (PANi), and glycerin. First, the effects of PVA, glycerol, and aniline/phytic acid solution concentration on the mechanical properties, electrical properties, and frost resistance of the PGA gel were discussed.
