In the ongoing search for more potent succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors (SDHIs) for agricultural applications, 30 pyrazole-4-carboxamide derivatives bearing a thioether group were designed and synthesized via bioisosteric replacement and scaffold-hopping based on the structure of two SDHIs lead compounds in our previous work. The antifungal efficacy of these target compounds was evaluated against five major plant pathogenic fungi, and the results indicated that the majority of the synthesized compounds exhibited strong antifungal activities, particularly against and . Among these, compound emerged as the most promising candidate, displaying exceptional antifungal potency against (EC = 0.

Purpose: To explore the impact of seasonal variations on the risks of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in women who undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.

Methods: We retrospectively included a total of 21,469 women who achieved singleton delivery during their first cycles of IVF, the risks of HDP and GDM were compared in different seasonal groups according to the time of embryo transfer and the time of oocyte retrieval.

Results: After adjustment via multivariable logistic regression, women who underwent embryo transfer in spring with the expected date of confinement in winter had a higher risk of HDP (4.

Article Synopsis
  • * Biparatopic antibodies (bpAbs) improve efficacy in HER2-positive patients by binding to two different sites on the HER2 antigen, which enhances specificity and promotes effective antigen clustering.
  • * The designed bpAb, KJ015, shows high production yields, stability, and effectiveness comparable to existing therapies while revealing promising potential when combined with other treatments in mouse models.

Background: The diagnostic criteria and phenotypes in polycystic ovary syndrome are heterogeneous. Currently, it is unclear how to assess a patient's prognosis based on the onset time of menstruation disturbance. Evidence on this topic is scarce and has mainly focused on menstrual patterns.

Residual microtumours after surgical resection leading to tumour relapse is one of the major challenges for cancer therapy. Herein, we developed a nano-hybrid oligopeptide hydrogel for topical delivery of a chemotherapeutic drug, docetaxel (DTX), to inhibit the post-surgical tumour recurrence. This nano-hybrid hydrogel (DTX-CTs/Gel) was prepared by encapsulating DTX in cell-penetrating peptide-modified transfersomes followed by embedment in an oligopeptide hydrogel.

Exploiting enzyme-catalyzed reactions to manipulate molecular assembly has been considered as an attractive bottom-up nanofabrication approach to developing a variety of nano-, micro-, and macroscale structures. Upon enzymatic catalysis, peptides and their derivatives transform to assemblable building blocks that form ordered architecture by non-covalent interactions. The peptide assemblies with unique characteristics have great potential for applications in bionanotechnology and biomedicine.
