Article Synopsis
  • TADF molecules are important for applications like OLEDs and require a small singlet-triplet energy gap (ΔE) and high radiative rate constants (k) for efficient usage.
  • A new method for adjusting ΔE is introduced by extending the π-conjugation of a triplet constrainer, which allows for reduced ΔE while maintaining high k values across varying molecular structures.
  • This research demonstrates a novel TADF molecule design that improves fluorescence efficiency and lowers ΔE significantly, which is important for advancing photophysics and material science.

Objectives: Preterm delivery rates have increased obviously worldwide over the past decade, yet reliable epidemiological studies on the incidence of preterm birth and temporal trends are not available in Hainan, The Free Trade Port in China. We aimed to describe the rate of preterm birth and trends between 2010 and 2021 and to primarily explore risk factors associated with preterm birth in Hainan, China.

Methods: This was an observational study was based on data from the Hainan Provincial Birth Certificate System (HPBCS) for live births between 1 January 2010 and 31 December 2021.

The vegetable sector is a vital pillar of society and an indispensable part of the national economic structure. As a significant segment of the agricultural market, accurately forecasting vegetable prices holds significant importance. Vegetable market pricing is subject to a myriad of complex influences, resulting in nonlinear patterns that conventional time series methodologies often struggle to decode.

Objective To investigate the role of miR-100-5p in the pathogenesis of non-traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (NONFH). Methods The miRNA expression in patients with NONFH was detected by real-time quantitative PCR, the high expression of miR-100-5p in femoral head tissues of the patients determined. Rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (rBMSCs) were cultured and divided into 5 groups: blank control group, dexamethasone treatment group (treated with dexamethasone for 3 days), miR-NC group (transfected with miR-NC), agomiR-100-5p group (overexpression of miR-100-5p), and antagomiR-100-5p group (transfected with miR-100-5p antagonist).

Non-traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is clinically a devastating and progressive disease without an effective treatment. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) transplantation has been used to treat ONFH in early stage, but the failure rate of this therapy is high due to the reduced osteogenic differentiation and migration of the transplanted MSCs related with pathological bone tissues. However, the mechanism responsible for this decrease is still unclear.

Objective To investigate the effect of progranulin (PGRN) on osteoporosis in ovariectomized mice. Methods PGRN-knockout (PGRN) and wild-type mice were ovariectomized to induce postmenopausal osteoporosis models. Next, the bone tissues in all mice were scanned by Micro-CT and three-dimensional reconstruction was performed to detect the micro-structure, followed by trabecula data analysis.
