Objectives: to describe the process of transitioning from a realistic simulation to a computer-based simulation focused on bloodstream infection prevention.

Methods: this report presents the development of a technology-based solution (a 3D virtual environment simulator) to address a specific problem: expanding the reach of an existing realistic simulation. The epistemological and methodological approach of Design Science Research guided the process.

Background: Antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs) have become important strategies for addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Despite the increasing number of international publications identifying the important roles played by nurses as part of ASPs in low- and middle-income countries, this topic is yet poorly researched. This study aimed to identify priority research gaps in the Brazilian context concerning nurses' performance in ASPs from the perspective of nursing professionals and explore the main themes among the ideas generated by these nurses.

Objective: Reflect on the implications of COVID-19 for the nursing care of pediatric oncology patients.

Methods: Theoretical and reflective essay, based on recent scientific publications and expert recommendations on the care of pediatric patients under cancer treatment in the context of the current pandemic.

Results: Reflected on the involvement of the pediatric population in general by COVID-19, the vulnerability of pediatric oncology patients to the complications of the disease and the likely challenges for their care.
