Purpose: The present study aimed to develop a noninvasive predictive framework that integrates clinical data, conventional radiomics, habitat imaging, and deep learning for the preoperative stratification of MGMT gene promoter methylation in glioma.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 410 patients from the University of California, San Francisco, USA, and 102 patients from our hospital. Seven models were constructed using preoperative contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MRI with gadobenate dimeglumine as the contrast agent.

Associations between element mixtures and biomarkers of pathophysiologic pathways related to autism spectrum disorder.

Objective: We previously documented that exposure to a spectrum of elements is associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, there is a lack of mechanistic understanding as to how elemental mixtures contribute to the ASD development.

Materials And Methods: Serum and urinary concentrations of 26 elements and six biomarkers of ASD-relevant pathophysiologic pathways including serum HIPK 2, serum p53 protein, urine malondialdehyde (MDA), urine 8-OHdG, serum melatonin, and urine carnitine, were measured in 21 ASD cases and 21 age-matched healthy controls of children aged 6-12 years.

Methods: This was a retrospective chart review of patients who underwent treatment for IBD at Jordan University Hospital between January 2013 and 2022. Case finding methods and clinical chart reviews were used to evaluate the clinical profile of patients with IBD.

This study, through the analysis of patients with congenital unilateral cleft lip, explores the efficacy of the vestibular Z-plasty technique for primary nasal deformity repair.

Methods: Since 2023, a single surgeon has operated on 12 consecutive unilateral cleft lip and palate patients with associated nasal deformities.

Understanding the epidemiology of gastric cancer: a review and case-only analysis from Italy.

Background: Gastric cancer epidemiology evolved rapidly in the last century, shifting from being one of the main causes of cancer-related death to the sixth in high-income countries.

Methods: We conducted a narrative review on gastric cancer epidemiology. Our review focused on trends of gastric cancer and its relationship with Helicobacter pylori infection; cardia and noncardia gastric cancer risk factors; early onset gastric cancer; second primary cancers in patients with gastric cancer; and implementation of gastric cancer prevention strategies.

Methods: We used the 2007-2014 US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey with mortality follow-up through 2019 (median: 8.6 years).

Study Question: Does weight loss from a hypocaloric dietary intervention improve antral follicle dynamics in women with PCOS?

Summary Answer: During a 3-month hypocaloric dietary intervention, women with PCOS who experienced clinically meaningful weight loss showed more organized antral follicle development including fewer recruitment events, but no change in the overall frequency of selection, dominance, or ovulation.

What Is Known Already: There is a spectrum of disordered antral follicle development in women with PCOS including excessive follicle recruitment and turnover, decreased frequency of selection and dominance, and failure of ovulation. Lifestyle intervention aimed at weight loss is recommended to improve metabolic health in women with PCOS yet benefits on ovarian follicle development and ovulation are unclear.

Case report: Cervical artery dissection in a patient with Turner Syndrome.

The goal of this article was to examine international students' experiences with healthcare providers and antibiotic prescribing in their home countries versus in the United States. We collected survey and focus group data from international students from China, India, and South Korea. Both quantitative survey data and qualitative focus group data was collected.

When students share: Faculty experiences with mental health challenges inside and outside the classroom.

This study explored the impact of college students' disclosure of mental health problems on faculty well-being. Twenty-nine full- and part-time faculty who experienced a student disclosure related to mental health during their career were recruited from a mid-size, private liberal arts university. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews explored faculty experiences with student mental health disclosures and its impact on faculty well-being.
