Purpose: The present study aimed to develop a noninvasive predictive framework that integrates clinical data, conventional radiomics, habitat imaging, and deep learning for the preoperative stratification of MGMT gene promoter methylation in glioma.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 410 patients from the University of California, San Francisco, USA, and 102 patients from our hospital. Seven models were constructed using preoperative contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MRI with gadobenate dimeglumine as the contrast agent.

Objective: We previously documented that exposure to a spectrum of elements is associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, there is a lack of mechanistic understanding as to how elemental mixtures contribute to the ASD development.
Materials And Methods: Serum and urinary concentrations of 26 elements and six biomarkers of ASD-relevant pathophysiologic pathways including serum HIPK 2, serum p53 protein, urine malondialdehyde (MDA), urine 8-OHdG, serum melatonin, and urine carnitine, were measured in 21 ASD cases and 21 age-matched healthy controls of children aged 6-12 years.

Aim: The purpose of our study was to evaluate the prevalence of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and its associated risk factors in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Methods: This was a retrospective chart review of patients who underwent treatment for IBD at Jordan University Hospital between January 2013 and 2022. Case finding methods and clinical chart reviews were used to evaluate the clinical profile of patients with IBD.

Objective: Most of the studies support that primary rhinoplasty during cleft-lip repair results in good outcomes with no effects on nasal growth. This study, through the analysis of patients with congenital unilateral cleft lip, explores the efficacy of the vestibular Z-plasty technique for primary nasal deformity repair.
Methods: Since 2023, a single surgeon has operated on 12 consecutive unilateral cleft lip and palate patients with associated nasal deformities.

Background: Gastric cancer epidemiology evolved rapidly in the last century, shifting from being one of the main causes of cancer-related death to the sixth in high-income countries.
Methods: We conducted a narrative review on gastric cancer epidemiology. Our review focused on trends of gastric cancer and its relationship with Helicobacter pylori infection; cardia and noncardia gastric cancer risk factors; early onset gastric cancer; second primary cancers in patients with gastric cancer; and implementation of gastric cancer prevention strategies.

Aims: We investigated the independent association between dietary vitamin E intake among individuals with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and all-cause and cause-specific mortality in a representative sample of the USA.
Methods: We used the 2007-2014 US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey with mortality follow-up through 2019 (median: 8.6 years).

Study Question: Does weight loss from a hypocaloric dietary intervention improve antral follicle dynamics in women with PCOS?
Summary Answer: During a 3-month hypocaloric dietary intervention, women with PCOS who experienced clinically meaningful weight loss showed more organized antral follicle development including fewer recruitment events, but no change in the overall frequency of selection, dominance, or ovulation.
What Is Known Already: There is a spectrum of disordered antral follicle development in women with PCOS including excessive follicle recruitment and turnover, decreased frequency of selection and dominance, and failure of ovulation. Lifestyle intervention aimed at weight loss is recommended to improve metabolic health in women with PCOS yet benefits on ovarian follicle development and ovulation are unclear.

The authors describe a case of vertebral artery dissection in a patient with Turner Syndrome presenting to a university student health center. Cervical artery dissection (CeAD) is the most common cause of stroke in young adults and should be considered in patients with underlying risk factors. It usually presents with local symptoms caused by compression of adjacent nerves and their feeding vessels, as well as ischemia and hemorrhagic events.

At least one in five women experience sexual assault on campus, which is often associated with negative impacts on their wellbeing and education. This scoping review synthesizes strengths associated with resilience among women who have experienced campus sexual assault, using the resilience portfolio model (RPM) as a conceptual framework. We searched PubMed, PsycINFO, SocINDEX, Education Source, Open Dissertations, and Teacher Reference Center for empirical articles on resilience among campus sexual assault survivors.

Despite alarming rates of students' food insecurity in the US (41%), estimates may not be fully capturing experiences in university settings. Understanding students' food insecurity is a knowledge gap flagged amidst outstanding progress on food security measurement in household settings. This study investigated the domains shaping the experiences around food with implications for food insecurity among students.

There has been an increasing emphasis on recovery as the expectation for people with mental health conditions. Within acute care mental health settings, music therapists can facilitate recovery by motivating service users to identify self-directed goals that increase their ability to remain in communities of their choice and have lives of hope, meaning, and purpose. The purpose of this cluster-randomized pilot effectiveness study was to determine if a single group songwriting session can impact quantitative measures of recovery in adults on an acute care mental health unit.

Cyanobacteria played a pivotal role in shaping Earth's early history and today are key players in many ecosystems. As versatile and ubiquitous phototrophs, they are used as models for oxygenic photosynthesis, nitrogen fixation, circadian rhythms, symbiosis, and adaptations to harsh environments. Cyanobacterial genomes and metagenomes exhibit high levels of genomic diversity partly driven by gene flow within and across species.

Clonal hematopoiesis, originally identified as a precursor to hematologic malignancies, has emerged as a significant factor in various nonmalignant diseases. Recent research highlights how somatic mutations in hematopoietic stem cells lead to the expansion of circulating mutated immune cells that exert profound effects on organ function and disease progression. These mutated clones display altered inflammatory profiles and tissue-specific functional consequences, contributing to various diseases including atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, heart failure, and neurodegenerative conditions.

Marthamycetales species are widely distributed, non-lichenized, apothecial ascomycetes that are associated with various woody plants and grasses. Most species are presumed to be saprobes, although a few are pathogens. Apothecia are small and erumpent, with farinose discs that are encircled by ragged, projecting flaps of degraded plant tissue.
