Dental implant failure, often due to bone resorption and poor osteointegration, can be mitigated using barrier membranes to prevent non-osteogenic tissue interference during bone healing. In addition to the existing barrier membranes, guided bone regeneration has opened new avenues for membrane design, allowing them to actively participate in bone regeneration rather than merely serving as barriers. In this context, the aim of this study was to fabricate a composite membrane that can mimic the native extracellular matrix of the native tissue.

Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles secreted by cells, ranging in size from 30 to 150 nm. They contain proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and other bioactive molecules, which play a crucial role in intercellular communication and material transfer. In tumor immunity, exosomes present various functions while the following two are of great importance: regulating the immune response and serving as delivery carriers.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are frequently used in the continuous monitoring of heart patients. These recordings generate huge data, which is difficult to store or transmit in telehealth applications. In the above context, this work proposes an efficient novel compression algorithm by integrating the tunable-Q wavelet transform (TQWT) with coronavirus herd immunity optimizer (CHIO).

Objective: In recent times, increased rainfall from tropical cyclones due to climate change affects the agricultural sector, mainly the paddy fields. High windspeed with excessive rain causes lodging of paddy crops, which is difficult to harvest. Mechanized harvesting systems are ineffective in this situation due to waterlogging in the fields.

Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand-247667, India.

A novel optimization algorithm called hybrid salp swarm algorithm with teaching-learning based optimization (HSSATLBO) is proposed in this paper to solve reliability redundancy allocation problems (RRAP) with nonlinear resource constraints. Salp swarm algorithm (SSA) is one of the newest meta-heuristic algorithms which mimic the swarming behaviour of salps. It is an efficient swarm optimization technique that has been used to solve various kinds of complex optimization problems.
