Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming perioperative medicine, particularly anesthesiology, by enabling novel applications, such as real-time data synthesis, individualized risk prediction, and automated documentation. These capabilities enhance clinical decision-making, patient communication, and workflow efficiency in the operating room. In education, generative AI offers immersive simulations and tailored learning experiences that improve both technical skills and professional judgment.

Background: Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) bears the highest global burden of cervical cancer. Living with the disease is a complex experience, leading to significant changes across various biopsychosocial dimensions, which in turn affect the quality of life of affected women.

Aims: This review aimed to synthesize available scientific evidence on the life experiences of women diagnosed with cervical cancer in SSA in order to generate valuable insights into the care of the affected population.

Introduction: Virtual reality (VR) technology is increasingly being explored as a medium for delivering mindfulness-based interventions. While studies have investigated the feasibility and efficacy of VR-based mindfulness interventions, there has been limited synthesis of user experiences and perceptions across diverse applications, hindering the iterative refinement of these technologies and limiting evidence-based guidance for effective deployment in real-world settings. This systematic review aims to comprehensively identify, appraise and synthesise qualitative research on end-user experiences and perceptions of VR-based mindfulness interventions.
