The emergence of large language models such as ChatGPT is already influencing health care delivery, research and training for the next cohort of health care professionals. In a consumer-driven market, their capabilities to generate new forms of knowing and doing for experts and novices present both promises and threats to the livelihood of patients. This article explores burdens imposed by the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in reflective essays submitted by a fifth of first-year health sciences students. In a curriculum centred around Vision 2030 at a South African university, deviations from prescribed guidelines in an essay requiring students to demonstrate an understanding of the models of disability are presented as moral injuries and epistemic injustices. Considering our obligations as educators to contribute to a humanising praxis, the author evaluates an eroded trust between educators and students and offers an interim solution for attaining skills in academic literacy in a developing country.Contribution: This article provides health sciences educators with an opportunity to pause and reflect on how they would like to integrate generative AI tools into their assessments.

Modelling cardiovascular disease is at the forefront of efforts to use computational tools to assist in the analysis and forecasting of an individual's state of health. To build trust in such tools, it is crucial to understand how different approaches perform when applied to a nominally identical scenario, both singularly and across a population. To examine such differences, we have studied the flow in aneurysms located on the internal carotid artery and middle cerebral artery using the commercial solver Ansys CFX and the open-source code HemeLB.

Introduction: Transgerational transmitted trauma is the transmission of psychological injuries between generations. This article uses two case vignettes to explore selected schema therapy approaches that help clients process transgenerationally transmitted trauma from their ancestors. Specific methods of imagery rescripting and chair work enable clients to transform maladaptive patterns of experiencing into healthier coping strategies, support better stress management, improve emotional regulation and communication in relationships, and encourage more profound relationships with themselves and others.

Background: With the development of artificial intelligence, obtaining patient-centered medical information through large language models (LLMs) is crucial for patient education. However, existing digital resources in online health care have heterogeneous quality, and the reliability and readability of content generated by various AI models need to be evaluated to meet the needs of patients with different levels of cultural literacy.
Objective: This study aims to compare the accuracy and readability of different LLMs in providing medical information related to gynecomastia, and explore the most promising science education tools in practical clinical applications.
