Background And Objectives: α-Synuclein seed amplification assays (αSAAs) can improve the diagnosis of synucleinopathies and detect α-synuclein (αSyn) copathology in vivo in clinical practice. We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of αSAA for detecting αSyn in CSF for diagnosing dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) in a clinical cohort of cognitively impaired individuals. We explored how the coexistence of Alzheimer disease (AD) and αSyn pathology influences biomarker levels and clinical profiles.

Purpose: Lymphocytes play critical roles in cancer immunity and tumor surveillance. Radiation-induced lymphopenia (RIL) is a common side effect observed in patients with cancer undergoing chemoradiation therapy (CRT), leading to impaired immunity and worse clinical outcomes. Although proton beam therapy (PBT) has been suggested to reduce RIL risk compared with intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), this study used Bayesian counterfactual machine learning to identify distinct patient profiles and inform personalized radiation modality choice.

Background: Symptomatic lumbar degenerative changes impact millions of patients per year. Recent technological advances have increased the usability of robot-assisted spinal fusions to treat this pathology. Although the safety profile of robotic systems appears favorable, the impact of robotics on surgical outcomes and efficiency remains unclear.

Objective: The objective of this study was to compare the long-term safety profiles of ocrelizumab and rituximab in persons with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Methods: Using retrospective data from the University of California (UC) Health System, we simulated a target clinical trial. The primary cohort from UC San Francisco (UCSF) and a validation cohort from 5 other UC Medical Centers were analyzed.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths, primarily due to late-stage diagnosis. In this multicenter study, our goal is to identify functional biomarkers that stratify the risk of HCC in patients with cirrhosis (CP) for early diagnosis.
Methods: Five thousand and eight serum proteins (Somascan) were analysed in Cohort A (477 CP, including 125 HCC).
