Background: Carotid artery stenosis is a major cause of stroke. Non-contrast MR angiography (MRA) using time-spatial labeling inversion pulse (Time-SLIP) may offer potential advantages over 3D time-of-flight (TOF)-MRA for simultaneous visualization of carotid, vertebral, and subclavian arteries, but remains uninvestigated.
Purpose: To determine optimal black blood inversion time (TI) for visualizing the carotid and subclavian arteries using three-dimensional (3D) fast field echo (FFE) Time-SLIP MRA, and to compare its image quality with 3D TOF-MRA.

Background: The vertebral artery (VA) undergoes a critical anatomical transition as it pierces the dura mater at the craniocervical junction. Precise knowledge of dural penetration patterns and angulation is essential for diagnostic imaging, neurosurgical planning, and minimizing iatrogenic risk in posterior fossa procedures.
Methods: This retrospective imaging study evaluated 100 adult patients who underwent 1.

Prototheca, a genus of opportunistic pathogenic microalgae, can cause protothecosis in humans and animals, manifesting as cutaneous lesions or disseminated/systemic infections. This report describes a rare case of Prototheca wickerhamii toe infection in a 78-year-old Chinese male, presenting initially as gouty arthritis. The patient, who worked in fish farming with frequent water exposure, had a history of herpes zoster and hypertension.

A vendor-neutral MR bone imaging technique based on 3D time-of-flight MR angiography with spoiled gradient recalled acquisition in the steady state (TOF-SPGR) was developed to enhance the depiction of bone and calcification/ossification. This approach is independent of scanner manufacturer and application type, enabling reduced radiation exposure by replacing or triaging further CT examinations. This article describes the optimization of scan parameters for clinical musculoskeletal protocols and explores its clinical applications with representative cases.

Background: Intracranial aneurysms, particularly saccular types, are localized dilations of cerebral vessels prone to rupture, leading to life-threatening complications such as subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Purpose: This study aimed to characterize the localized hemodynamic environment within the aneurysm dome and evaluate how spatial interactions among key flow parameters contribute to rupture risk, using a synergistic analytical framework.
Methods: We applied the targeted evaluation of synergistic links in aneurysms (TESLA) framework to analyze 18 intracranial aneurysms from 15 patients.
