The expanding literature on nutraceuticals for male androgenetic alopecia (AGA) has inadvertently created knowledge gaps on the relative efficacy of conventional and non-conventional over-the-counter (OTC) treatments. We conducted a Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA); the outcome measure was the 24-week change in total hair density (INPLASY202570087). We determined the relative efficacy of nine active comparators-including topical minoxidil 5% and 2%. Among the topical OTC agents used to manage male AGA, minoxidil 5% applied twice daily was the most effective.

A series of niobium oxyiodide compounds has recently been identified using a non-conventional reduction method. The continuation of these studies of heterogeneous solid-state reactions in a closed system has led to the crystallization and structural analysis of two novel compounds LiNbOI and NbOI(NbI). Both crystal structures are derived from the pentanuclear [NbO] cluster core and are expanded through the incorporation of additional niobium atoms, forming new [NbO] and [NbO] cluster cores.

Wearable technologies that analyse non-conventional biological matrices, such as interstitial fluid, sweat, tears or breath, have the potential to provide longitudinal biomarker data with minimal invasiveness. These data could provide insights into physiological and behavioural patterns, in particular outside medical care facilities. Despite the success of continuous glucose monitoring, the adoption of wearable sensors for managing endocrine and metabolic diseases remains limited.

These schools provide essential educational environments that uphold children's right to education during prolonged illness. The review explores flexible didactic design, time adaptation, and personalized teaching approaches that are crucial in these contexts.

Immunoglobulins (IGs) made by chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) B cells are unique in that they bind themselves (homo-dimerize). This interaction leads to signal transduction with functional consequences that depend on the affinity of homo-dimerization. We have studied the antigen-binding properties of the IGs from a subset of patients with CLL (Subset #4) that homo-dimerize at high affinity.

Unlabelled: The wild yeast (parental of the lager brewing hybrid yeast) has been intensively studied for brewing applications since its discovery in Patagonia (Argentina), and then in other parts of the world. In this work, cultures of this non-conventional yeast in different physiological conditions were tested in terms of viability and vitality, to understand its behavior and provide tools for biomass quality assessment for brewing. Four dyes were analyzed, and alkaline methylene violet turned out to be the most accurate for viability measurements.
