The current study aims at evaluating the effectiveness of low level laser therapy (LLLT) in intra-bony defect regeneration by comparing the clinical parameters between periodontitis patients with intra-bony defects treated with simplified papilla preservation flap (SPPF) alone and SPPF with the adjunctive use of LLLT. The current study is a randomized controlled clinical trial involving 64 patients/sites, 32 sites treated with SPPF - control group and 32 sites treated with SPPF and adjunctive use of LLLT (SPPF+LLLT) - test group. Clinical parameters such as probing pocket depth (PPD), clinical attachment level (CAL), position of gingival margin (PGM), radiographic intra-bony defect depth (R-IBD), full mouth plaque score (FMPS), and full mouth bleeding score (FMBS) were evaluated at baseline, 6 months, and one year post-surgery. Radiographic defect depths were assessed at baseline and one year post-surgery. The results were statistically analyzed. There was a statistically significant reduction in the PPD, CAL, PGM, and radiographic defect depth in the test group at the 6 months and one year post-surgery when compared with the control group (<0.05). In addition, the total number of sites with PPD more than 4 mm was reduced significantly in the test group when compared to the control group at 6 months and one year. The current study reports a significant improvement in PPD and radiographic intrabony defect fill in periodontitis patients treated with adjunctive LLLT supplementing SPPF. The article evaluates the adjunctive usage of LLLT in periodontal regeneration. The results reiterate the synergistic role of LLLT with periodontal surgical therapy for accelerated regenerative outcomes.

Background: Bariatric surgery (BS) is the most effective treatment for severe obesity, but a significant proportion of patients experience insufficient weight loss (IWL) or weight regain. Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (arGLP-1) have emerged as a promising adjunctive therapy for managing these suboptimal outcomes. This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of arGLP-1 in patients with IWL or WR after BS.

This study presents a rare case of primary vulval sebaceous carcinoma (SC) and a literature review. Sebaceous carcinoma is an aggressive skin malignancy, predominantly periocular, with extraocular cases being particularly uncommon. We detail a 50-year-old female patient diagnosed with primary vulval SC, exhibiting a 0.

Purpose: To investigate the clinical manifestations and outcomes of herpes simplex keratitis (HSK) infection following corneal transplantation.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed medical records of patients who underwent corneal transplantation at the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region between January 2018 and March 2024, with a minimum follow-up period of 1 year. The study examined post-transplantation herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections, including the timing of HSV infection, HSK classification, clinical manifestations, and outcomes.

Introduction: Enfortumab vedotin plus pembrolizumab (EV + ) shows high efficacy in metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC), potentially increasing tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) risk.
Case Presentation: A 64-year-old man with mUC underwent surgery and adjuvant nivolumab after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Five months post-surgery, EV + was initiated for recurrence with distant metastasis.

Objectives: To compare the effects of different adjuvant treatments for different pathological types of early-stage cervical cancer post-surgery.
Materials And Methods: Patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stages I-II squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), adenocarcinoma (ADC), and adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC) who underwent hysterectomy and postoperative radiotherapy (RT) from 2004 to 2015 in the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results program database were analyzed. The clinicopathological characteristics and survival rates were compared.
