Introduction: Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is a rare, benign, fibro-osseous lesion characterized by aggressive growth and potential for recurrence. It primarily affects children and adolescents, with two histopathological subtypes: trabecular JOF (TrJOF) and psammomatoid JOF (PsJOF). TrJOF typically presents in the jaws of younger individuals, often before the age of 15.

Foreign body ingestion is a common pediatric emergency, and plastic objects are particularly difficult to detect on imaging due to their radiolucency. This can lead to delayed diagnosis and serious complications, especially when the ingestion is unwitnessed or the child is asymptomatic. We report a case of a four years and five months old girl who claimed to have accidentally swallowed a 4.

This study aimed to evaluate and compare the performance of state-of-the-art deep learning models for detecting and segmenting both radiolucent and radiopaque jaw lesions on panoramic radiographs. A total of 2371 anonymized panoramic radiographs containing jaw lesions were retrospectively collected and categorized into radiolucent and radiopaque datasets. Expert annotation was performed to delineate lesion boundaries and assign anatomical localization (anterior/posterior maxilla and mandible).

Background: This study compared the accuracy of various imaging modalities in detecting small bone defects simulating radiolucent lines (RLLs) around femoral components made of nitrided titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) versus cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) alloy.
Methods: Eight femoral components (four nitrided titanium alloy and four Co-Cr alloy) were implanted into pig femurs. Two total knee arthroplasty (TKA) models were fabricated for each component: normal and RLL TKA models.

Aim: The present study aimed to contribute to the biological characterization of odontogenic ghost cell lesions (OGCL).
Materials And Methods: Sixty-nine OGCL consisting of 60 calcifying odontogenic cysts (COC) and nine dentinogenic ghost cell tumors (DGCT) were collected from a single center over a period of 63 years. The clinical, radiographic, and histopathological features were re-evaluated.
