News can have profound effects on public perceptions of the police. The public's views of the police following the widespread case of Sarah Everard have yet to be examined, despite it's link to violence against women and girls. This research explored the impact of this case on public perceptions of the police in the period afterwards. An analysis of 107 social media posts uncovered seven themes showing this case caused extreme fear and anxiety. While some viewed the incident as a "bad apple," most tweets showed distrust toward the police force as a whole, raising repercussions for police-public relationships and reporting decisions.

Background: The increasing amount of data routinely collected on ICUs poses a challenge for clinicians which is aggravated with data-heavy therapies like Continuous Kidney Replacement Therapy (CKRT). We developed the CKRT Supporting Software Prototype (CKRT-SSP), a clinical decision support system for use before, during and after CKRT. Objective: The objective of this study was to assess differences in the perception of the role of advanced practice providers (APPs) within an academic oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) department.
Study Design: We surveyed OMS providers including APPs, residents, and attending surgeons. The survey covered 5 areas: impact of APPs on resident training, knowledge of APP training, interaction with APPs, scope-of-practice of APPs, and role of APPs in the health care team.
