Article Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive overview of a pioneering 1 million-ton carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) project implemented in the Qilu Petrochemical Shengli Oilfield in China. The project involved a compression-condensation-purification process and aimed to capture CO from the coal gas of the second chemical fertiliser plant of the Qilu Petrochemical Company. Molecular sieves were used to dry the captured CO, and MellapakPlus™ structured packing was employed for purification. Two novel energy-saving processes were implemented, a lithium bromide refrigerator unit to recover waste heat for cooling and an expansion generator unit to recover pressure energy from the tail gas. The project layout and land area were carefully determined. The consumption of utilities in the capture system was analysed. Furthermore, an economic assessment of the project was conducted. The technical and economic feasibility of this project was confirmed by the findings. The comprehensive energy consumption per unit of the capture process was 2.649 GJ/t CO, the total investment (excluding tax) for CO capture was CNY 380 million (380 CNY/t CO), the payback period of the project was 9.20 years, and the sales price (excluding tax) of the project was 194.4 CNY/t CO at a yield of 8%.

Due to their comparable molecular dimensions and volatility, distinguishing CH from CO during purification remains a significant challenge in industrial applications. Achieving effective isolation of CH from binary mixtures of CH/CO is therefore a critical objective in petrochemical processes. Herein, an adsorption mechanism enabling selective CH/CO separation has been elucidated in the phosphonate metal-organic framework (MOF) Ni-STA-12.

Soy protein adhesives have great potential in replacing traditional petrochemical adhesives to produce eco-friendly and formaldehyde-free plywood. However, weak toughness, poor water resistance and low mold resistance during their usage have severely limited their application in practical production. In this study, we introduced bio-based sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMCNa) and lauroyl arginine ethyl ester hydrochloride (LAE) into the soybean meal (SM) system to increase the network interweaving density through the electrostatic interactions and multiple hydrogen bonds between CMCNa, LAE and SM.

Gallium-modified Zeolite Socony Mobil-5 (ZSM-5) zeolites were synthesized using wetness impregnation and hydrothermal synthesis methods. The structural and acidic properties of the zeolites were characterized through an analytical instrument, which demonstrated that Gallium-modified HZSM-5 zeolites retain the Mobil five instructure (MFI) framework structure, but exhibit a reduction in Brønsted acid sites and a decrease in micropore size. The catalytic performance of these zeolites in the pyrolysis of cellulose biomass and polyethylene was tested.

In this paper, a novel hybrid network called ChessFormer is proposed for the single image de-rain task. The network seamlessly integrates the advantages of Transformer and fitted neural network (CNN) in a checkerboard architecture, fully utilizing the global modeling capability of Transformer and the local feature extraction efficiency of CNN.ChessFormer adopts a multilevel feature extraction and progressive feature fusion strategy to efficiently achieve the rain line while preserving the We design a multidimensional transposed attention (MSTA), which enhances the network fusion for different rain patterns and mechanism image textures by combining self-attention with gated phase operation.
