Intracardiac glomus tumors are very rare neoplasms arising from mesenchymal cells. Solitary glomus tumors are usually benign and mostly seen in the skin of limbs. Still, exceptional cases of noncutaneous visceral glomus tumors have been reported at sites other than the limbs. We present a case of glomangioma that was surgically removed from the right ventricle and briefly pointed to the importance of differential diagnosis of cardiac tumors. A 57-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for dyspnea and recurrent arrhythmia attacks. We performed a three-dimensional transthoracic echocardiogram, and contrast chest CT, which revealed a mass in the right ventricle. She was successfully treated with cardiac surgery. After pathological studies, the tumor was finally diagnosed as benign intracardiac glomangioma.

Background: Glomus tumors, rare benign neoplasms developing from the glomus, often pose challenges in early detection due to their small size and subtle symptoms. Surgical removal remains the only primary treatment; however, existing approaches have limitations, particularly in preserving nail structure and minimizing recurrence rates. This study introduces the Microscopic Transungual Surgical Approach to overcome the drawbacks of existing procedures for glomus tumor excision and evaluate its efficacy in treating these tumors.

Stereotactic radiation therapy, including stereotactic radiosurgery, is a well-established and effective treatment for cerebellopontine angle tumors such as meningiomas, vestibular schwannomas, trigeminal and jugular foramen schwannomas, and glomus tumors. It offers high rates of tumor control while preserving neurological function, particularly in tumors smaller than 3 cm, which are ideal candidates for stereotactic radiosurgery. Large tumors or those extending beyond the skull base can also be managed effectively using fractionated stereotactic radiation therapy.
