Introduction: The generation of waste products, including urine, faeces, and household items such as glass and plastic, has increased in line with the growth of the world's population. Physical, psychological, and social issues can invariably arise if these wastes are not properly managed, which has a direct effect on the population's health and is the source of the nation's productivity. Waste dumping has been a persistent problem, despite the government's efforts to educate consumers on proper waste dumping. Despite regular enforcement activities, this socially unacceptable habit persists.
Methodology: Various studies on waste disposal and its potential deleterious effects on the health of humans, animals, and the environment were reviewed and included in this narrative review to summarise the nature of the problem and its health effects. These include both local and international articles on this subject. This is to ensure that various strategies can be developed to manage this important and ever-persisting issue.
Results And Conclusion: The literature reviewed have been able detailed the physical, psychological, and social issues of improper waste disposal that may affect the health of the population. Taking care of the environment is a top priority, as are modern issues of climate change and its effects on the nation's coffers. Enhancing public education, promoting community-based environmental activities such as gotongroyong, using modern technology or methods, and stricter enforcement will ensure that waste is disposed properly. In turn, this will ensure the sustainability of Mother Earth for future generations.

Background: Evidence from multiple pilots and post-introduction scale-up initiatives have demonstrated that self-administered subcutaneous depot-medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA-SC) has potential to improve contraceptive continuation rates and expand contraceptive access to populations with limited utilization of facility-based health services. Only a few of these studies have been conducted in South Asian countries, and none where most contraceptive use is of non-hormonal methods that require limited to no contact with the health system, leaving policymakers in countries like Pakistan with limited context-specific evidence to guide decisions on whether, how, and for whom to introduce DMPA-SC.
Methods: A prospective cohort study will be conducted in 41 health facilities and surrounding communities in Punjab, Pakistan.

Sweet potato foot rot disease caused by Diaporthe destruens (formerly Plenodomus destruens) severely affects the yield and quality of sweet potatoes. Fly ash (FA) landfills are overflowing with materials, and unexplored waste streams like waste spent garnet (WSG) and waste foundry sand (WFS) are often dumped in onsite storage spaces, limiting land availability for future use and exacerbating environmental concerns related to waste disposal. Therefore, this research proposes recycling FA to produce reclaimed FA (RFA) as a binder, replacing 40-60% of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) and 30-50% of river sand (RS) with WSG and WFS to produce geopolymers. The performance of geopolymers was assessed under different curing regimes, including ambient-temperature curing (ATC), ambient-temperature water curing (AWC), high-temperature curing (HTC), and high-temperature water curing (HWC).
