Background: Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT) is a potentially curative treatment for pediatric patients with hematologic malignancies. Human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matched sibling donors (MSDs) are considered the optimal source for stem cell transplantation; however, up to 70% of patients lack an MSD. This disparity is particularly pronounced among racial and ethnic minorities, who face challenges in identifying matched unrelated donors (MUDs).

Comparison of autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for primary plasma cell leukemia in Japan.

Transplant Cell Ther

September 2025

Division of Hematology and Clinical Laboratory Medicine, Department of Multidisciplinary Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Tottori University, Yonago, Japan. Electronic address:

Primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL) is a rare and aggressive subtype of plasma cell malignancy. Although hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HCT), including autologous HCT (auto-HCT) and allogeneic HCT (allo-HCT), is widely used, an optimal treatment strategy is undetermined. We retrospectively analyzed patients with pPCL who underwent HCT between 2006 and 2022 in Japan using Japanese registry data.

Fixed point method for PET reconstruction with learned plug-and-play regularization.

Deep learning has shown great promise for improving medical image reconstruction, including PET. However, concerns remain about the stability and robustness of these methods, especially when trained on limited data. This work aims to explore the use of the Plug-and-Play (PnP) framework in PET reconstruction to address these concerns.

We study nonperturbative effects of torus partition function of the TT[over ¯]-deformed 2D conformal field theory (CFT) by resurgence in this Letter and a companion paper. The deformed partition function can be written as an infinite series of the deformation parameter λ. We develop highly efficient methods to compute perturbative coefficients in the λ expansion.

Achieving optimal alignment and fit is a key aspect of ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) design, as it directly influences the effectiveness of the device. While digital workflows offer the potential to integrate quantifiable alignment measures and corrections into AFO design, a major challenge remains in controlling lower-limb positioning and alignment during 3D scanning. This study aimed to evaluate pediatric AFO alignment and shape differences of directly scanned (live scan) vs casted lower limb models.
