Climate change is becoming a growing threat to the health of both the planet and people. As more people face ecological changes, more people experience challenging emotions such as anxiety about the future. In this study, a model of the relationship between environmental identity, intolerance of uncertainty and mental well-being was tested using structural equation modelling to determine the mediating role of eco-anxiety. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 392 individuals (aged 18-59) in Türkiye using convenience sampling method. SEM showed the partial mediating effect of eco-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty on the relationship between environmental identity and mental well-being. Environmental identity has a direct and indirect effect on mental well-being through eco-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty. Eco-anxiety also has a direct and indirect effect on mental well-being through intolerance of uncertainty. As a result, in the face of the negative effects of ecological changes on people's mental health, individuals with higher levels of environmental identity will be more likely to develop good mental health when they can control their levels of eco-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty. In addition, the positive effect of the measures that can be taken against climate change on nature is an important factor that can increase the well-being of individuals. These findings suggest that interventions targeting eco-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty, particularly in culturally diverse populations, can promote better mental well-being in the face of climate-related stress. Developing psychological strategies that enhance environmental identity could serve as an important tool for fostering resilience against the psychological impacts of ecological changes.

This study explored how meaning in life relates to death and dying anxiety among Israeli civilians during wartime by examining the mediating roles of cognitive age perception and intolerance of uncertainty. A sample of 400 adults (50.5% women; age 47.

Brexpiprazole is a second-generation antipsychotic with multiple indications, including the treatment of schizophrenia. As a partial dopamine agonist, brexpiprazole differs from most other antipsychotics, yet uncertainties about its full mechanism of action have led to some ambiguity among prescribers. To address this gap, an international panel of psychiatric experts was organized and convened with funding from Otsuka Pharmaceutical Europe Ltd and H.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has been associated with altered performance monitoring, reflected in enhanced amplitudes of the error-related negativity in the event-related potential. However, this is not specific to OCD, as overactive error processing is also evident in anxiety. Although similar neural mechanisms have been proposed for error and feedback processing, it remains unclear whether the processing of errors as indexed by external feedback, reflected in the feedback-related negativity (FRN), is altered in OCD.

Distorted risk appraisal is a well-established contributor to anxiety maintenance/development. While specific cognitive risk factors like anxiety sensitivity (AS) and intolerance of uncertainty (IU) are well-studied, the role of numeracy, a construct linked to probabilistic reasoning ability, remains largely unexplored. Using a sample of undergraduate students ( = 74), bivariate correlations between numeracy, anxiety, IU, and AS were calculated.

The Dual Process Theory of Autism proposes that those high in autistic traits, including autistic individuals, have both a reduced propensity for intuition and an enhanced propensity for deliberation. Whilst intuition is rapid and autonomous, many factors impact upon deliberation, and an intolerance of uncertainty may mediate the relationship between autistic traits and propensity for deliberation (but not intuition). Two studies were conducted to explore this hypothesis.
