Purpose: Cardiac noradrenergic denervation visualized by meta-[I]iodobenzylguanidine ([I]MIBG) imaging supports the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD). Recently, meta-[F] fluorobenzylguanidine ([F]MFBG) PET demonstrated favorable imaging characteristics compared with [I]MIBG scintigraphy for neuroendocrine tumors. We assessed [F]MFBG dosimetry and myocardial pharmacokinetics in healthy controls and PD patients.

Hepatic hydrothorax (HH) occurs in 4%-12% of patients with cirrhosis and rarely presents without accompanying evidence of clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH). We report the case of a 65-year-old man with cirrhosis without prior decompensation, congestive heart failure, and recurrent right-sided pleural effusion. CSPH was not otherwise observed despite thorough laboratory, radiologic, and endoscopic evaluation.

Introduction: The diagnosis of systemic transthyretin amyloidosis based on prostate biopsy is very rare, and we report this case with a literature review.
Case Presentation: A 73-year-old male patient was referred to our department due to an increased serum prostate-specific antigen level at 10.4 ng/mL while receiving benign prostatic hypertrophy treatment.

This article explores the role of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) in the diagnosis and prognostication of ischemic heart disease. It highlights the diagnostic strengths of CMR rest and stress imaging techniques, including myocardial perfusion imaging, late gadolinium enhancement, and tissue characterization. This review also examines the utility of CMR in assessing common manifestations of ischemic heart disease, such as acute or chronic myocardial infarction, ventricular remodeling, and microvascular obstruction, as well as the added value of evaluating right ventricular function.

Background: Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD), but the relationships between myocardial function, microvascular function, and atherosclerotic burden remain underexplored in asymptomatic individuals. This study investigates the associations between left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)-reserve, myocardial flow reserve (MFR), perfusion defects, coronary artery calcium score (CACS), and global longitudinal strain (GLS) in individuals with T2D but without overt CVD.
Methods: Cross-sectional analysis of 871 individuals with T2D without overt CVD, recruited between 2020 and 2023.
