The advancement of science and technology is an undeniable phenomenon that is progressively transforming all aspects of human life, including scientific, social, humanitarian, and environmental fields, among others. Facial reconstruction surgery has recently gained much attention owing to the incorporation of new technologies, such as bioprinting, regenerative medicine (RM), and artificial intelligence (AI) in surgery. These advancements have led to more innovative, site-specific, and optimal methods of addressing the challenges of facial reconstruction following trauma, congenital malformations, and oncological resections.

Background: Intraperitoneal (IP) chemotherapy (IPC), including hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), has emerged as a promising approach to control peritoneal metastases in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. However, the safety profile and toxicity spectrum of IPC remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to evaluate the incidence of hematologic and biochemical adverse reactions following surgery with or without IPC and to compare the toxicity profiles of normothermic IPC and HIPEC.

The brain arteriovenous malformation (BAVM) within language-eloquent area poses a significant surgical challenge, demanding meticulous planning to ensure both preservation of language function and curative resection. This report details the successful microsurgical resection of a Spetzler-Martin grade II BAVM located in Wernicke's area in a 51-year-old male, ruptured three weeks ago and characterized by mild anomia. Following thorough discussion, the patient elected for microsurgery, providing informed consent, and the procedure was approved by the ethics committee.

Aim: To critically review the emerging evidence from two randomised trials-KEYNOTE-689 and NIVOPOSTOP-on perioperative immune checkpoint inhibition in resectable, locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and to elucidate how these positive results may redefine the current and future treatment paradigms.
Methods: We conducted a narrative review comparing the design, patient populations, treatment protocols, and outcomes of KEYNOTE-689 and NIVOPOSTOP. Data sources included ClinicalTrials.
