CD151 is a tetraspanin, abnormally expressed in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). It is a prominent component of exosomes, facilitating the secretion of proteins that promote metastasis and drug resistance. We have previously demonstrated that silencing the CD151 gene reduces metastasis in TNBC.

Background: Genetic modifiers are believed to play an important role in the onset and severity of polycystic kidney disease (PKD), but identifying these modifiers has been challenging due to the lack of effective methodologies.
Methods: We generated zebrafish mutants of IFT140, a skeletal ciliopathy gene and newly identified autosomal dominant PKD (ADPKD) gene, to examine skeletal development and kidney cyst formation in larval and juvenile mutants. Additionally, we utilized ift140 crispants, generated through efficient microhomology-mediated end joining (MMEJ)-based genome editing, to compare phenotypes with mutants and conduct a pilot genetic modifier screen.

Purpose: To report the examination and multimodal imaging findings of a patient with unilateral bull's eye maculopathy.
Methods: A retrospective chart review of a 77-year-old patient with unilateral bull's eye maculopathy who presented to a tertiary retinal practice was performed. The patient's history, visual acuity, examination and multimodal imaging findings over five years of follow-up were described.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is characterized by impaired mucociliary clearance and pulmonary infections. Accumulating evidence suggests that fundamentally abnormal inflammatory responses also contribute to CF pathology. TGFβ, a pleiotropic cytokine, is a modifier of CF lung disease; its mechanism of action in CF is unclear.

In Thailand, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) persist as a significant public health issue, notwithstanding the affordability of treatments. The primary challenge lies in diagnostic methodologies. According to the Thai National Treatment Guidelines for abnormal vaginal discharge, wet preparation using proportion of white blood cell (WBC) counts and epithelial cell (EC) guides presumptive STI treatment.
